it depends on what you mean by national quarantine. From what I’ve read, the federal government can effectively close the borders and quarantine the entire country from the outside. They can limit interstate travel. But national curfews and state level quarantines are not something within the bounds of the federal government. so going along with Stephen Miller’s wet dreams, I could see them enacted an international quarantine but anything more than that is going to be difficult. That’s before you even get into the logistics
There were some serious rumors floating around last weekend about this. I mean, I heard it from a lot of sources. Too much smoke for there not to be some truth. I'm not sure that Trump will have the balls to attach his name to a nat'l quarantine/lockdown. I kind of doubt he does, but who knows.
Work for a small local business with around 30 employees between sales, service, office staff. My location is minimally staffed on a regular basis. 2-3 of us here daily, everyone else out of our main location. We've had 0 discussions about anything. The most we have received of forwarded emails from our state government. It's just mentally draining since a large portion of my $$ is commission based and I really have a hard time seeing the goods/services we offer suddenly booming again anytime soon. Refresh
No because we couldn't guarantee we will be done before i had work at 10 am we will go tomorrow even if better because their symptoms are keeping us from going to the dr/ pediatrician because im off tomorrow so we have the time.

Have video chat with dr in the morning so fingers crossed they give me something I can use to not have to go to work at non essential workplace with my pregnant wife at home. Abbott May have said it but they will not close this place until there are guards with guns outside blocking

He won’t until after a ton of States have already done it. Many Political Science folks say Trump is playing this correctly within the context of the election. Consistently say the States and local governments need to take action. If they do and it works, then co-opt the credit. If it fails, point fingers at them. Several Governors are doing this also by saying local governments need to make the decisions, based on their own circumstances.
