Tbh, to the untrained American ear (mine, for example) the Aussie and South African accents sound the same.
and been bitten by a mamba, nearly died from a non-venomous snake bite, and says he’s so allergic that he’d die within minutes of another elapid bite Dingo is 1 wild man
That male rattlesnake almost got him in a video earlier this week. Scared the bejesus out of me. Tyler has talked about getting bit by a cobra and everything that went on with that.
True story: was attending a conference in Salt Lake City and a Bostonian gave a presentation. After it, a friend remarked on “that Australian’s” accent.
Tyler was bit by a king and it will happen again love watching them but they but they take way too many risks
Yeah, him Chandler and Will Nace all seem like cool guys and know what they're doing but all it takes is for one snake to have a bad day and its game over.
So handling these fucks is one thing but handling them while you're trying to make a YouTube video is infinitely more dumb.
Will seems to take less risk yet still too many check out a guy called venom man on YouTube he isn’t a look at me kind, more so very informative
Yep, she's attractive Spoiler Dingo had me on edge with this video today, other guy may be crazier than him
I kicked around the idea for a bit and finally decided to get a panther chameleon. Cool little guys. I bought the enclosure below off Craigslist for a good price and it basically everything pictured included (even a live Chinese money tree plant). I’ve started making some smaller additions, such as a wet dry vac to help keep stagnant water to a minimum in the enclosure (chameleons drink water off of leaves so they require a misting system over a drinking bowl), containers for feeder crickets, basking light, UVB light, etc. It’s been a bit of work but I’ve really enjoyed the project as a whole. Here’s the chameleon I’m picking up on Friday.
No idea how to post Instagram stories but Taylor Rooks was there yesterday with Dwight Howard and Danny Green https://www.instagram.com/stories/taylorrooks/
Fed my new chameleon for the first time yesterday and my niece took a video of it. Honestly pretty cool.
Really cool that it’s a speckled king instead of an easter in Birmingham. In the south, speckled kings are much more associated with coastal plain and wet habitats than easterns which are more piedmont and foothills. Awesome stuff!
Nice That was a screenshot from next door app where they were warning that the water moccasins are out I thought it was too slender bodied
He’s pretty cool. They require a good bit of maintenance, but they’re worth it, imo. I’ve done a few mini projects to try and get things in order — next is getting a discoid roach colony going so I don’t have to buy food for him anymore. I almost bought a veiled cham instead, but I’ve been told panthers are cooler looking and veiled chams are known to be dicks.
Panthers are definitely the elite tier of chameleons. Ambilobes are freaking stunning too. Good luck with the roach colony. Once they get set up they’re super easy.
Yeah, I’m happy I spent the extra money on a panther because he’s really cool and pretty docile. He’s still in his “winter colors” right now, but I’m putting him out in the sun everyday for a bit in hopes that he’ll start brightening up. I’ve had issues keeping crickets alive so I’m sick of buying a few dozen at a time, only for half of them to die. Discoids get delivered tomorrow or Saturday so I’ll spend tomorrow getting their storage bins prepped. Ideally, I won’t have to buy food for him anymore in 4-5 months.
Owsley What’s the rule with water snakes? If their whole body lays flat on the water, they’re not venomous? Or is it the opposite?
Good day for #herpin Owsley et. al, any idea if that is an eastern glass lizard or a juvenile king of some variety?
Best way to tell? I though it seemed awful long for a eastern glass, but then I looked it up and those can get quite long.
