I mean what is the point of this? DeSantis announces he would be signing an executive order urging those in Miami-Dade, Broward, Palm Beach and Monroe Counties to stay home through “mid-May.” Soon maybe we'll get executive orders urging people not to commit crimes. Or to be nicer to each other. Oh yeah those wouldn't work either. Spineless fuck.
That seems about right for Utah. The early tests leaned heavily toward the UDOH. ARUP and other private labs have been doing the bulk of testing and analysis more recently.
We are doing the shift system with work from home and watch the kid and it’s the worst. It’s why I am so fucking frustrated with the response from our governor and their general attitude of not testing. Two weeks ago when Arizona was still less than a hundred was the time to suck it up and put strict measures in place, but by delaying it we are just pushing normalcy further to the right. All these fucking morons talking about the hit to the economy by doing shelter in place are too dumb to comprehend how much worse it is to just have this slow burn last for months.
they should play it at the asheville muni. sure it will be a cheap knockoff of devine and i’s competition but it’s at least something
When you go back through the records of Trump’s pressers and personal tweets you essentially see that guy’s interview answers in real world practice. It’s obvious that he is the “Heath and medical experts” that Trump keeps referring to. Most of us believed it was the CDC, or the Surgeon General. Nope.
I haven't tried it yet but my friends and I are gonna try this site this weekend: http://playingcards.io/
Well, made my first mistake of quarantine. Played fast and loose with Eathan Edwards rules for preventing gout and spent the weekend dealing with a flare up.
wow seems like a lot of cities in CA are contracting with hotels to provide housing to unhoused people right now
Falwell should have treated this situation like his marriage and sat back and watched someone else take care of things.
Working from home in the same area as my wife having to do homeschooling with a 7 and 4 year old and a 2 year old running around.
Absolutely. Lower grades are a bit easier but we've setup a daily homeschool schedule for my kid. We all want to just let the kid(s) play on a tablet/console all day so we can work...but that's doing kids in their formative years of school a massive disservice.
Spoke to a nurse for a hospital that provides for a decent size area, maybe 200k. She said they have turned down a bunch of people that thought they had it and have lost x amount of elders that most likely had it. So that particular hospital is reporting zero. Any data/numbers from Florida right now are useless.
Medical fetish site donates entire stock of scrubs after being contacted by "desperate" health officials newsweek.com/medica..
My 7 year old is. She gets assignments that count towards her grades. They sent home Chromebooks and everything. And this is in a extremely small town. I'm pretty impressed with the local school system on this.
Are they able to give lessons on the chrome book or is it more just assignments and they expect the parents to explain the concepts to the kids? Genuinely fascinated because there’s not a chance in hell I’d have the time to layer elementary school teacher on to my real day job and my part time virologist/epidemiologist, statistician, government health official, and internet commenter workload.
Chromebook + video assignments/ppt and a packet sent home at the outset of materials to follow along. We're basically expected to be enforcement and help if they get stuck. Luckily my kids do a good job at self direction. Couldn't imagine having an ADHD kid.
For parents looking for a couple cool, fun things to add to your kid’s routine, Brainchild is a great show on Netflix. Also, Duolingo is a great chance to get them started learning a language. I’m actually tempted to start the Russian program for myself because of our heavy population at work and how much it would help. I should have done something like that years ago, but I’m a putz.
