Do you actually think that? No an insult, but I would assume there were hundreds if not thousands of active UNTESTED cases and that’s how the exponential growth occurred.
Wordometer uses GMT, so it resets at 7 Central. They probably allocated some of those back to the previous day with added information.
I know the site doesn't start showing next day deaths until later, but there is a lag in when they recieve the death info, obviously. If you look at the notes at the bottom they show that they reallocate to the previous day, and they continue to reallocate deaths to previous days, like Sunday, which was under reported. I don't think they reset the day until later, as they are receiving data that is lagging behind. I believe that's why their death totals each day don't closer match with Johns Hopkins.
