Just have to love Republicans. Not only is the Foxconn deal depressing economic activity by billions of dollars, WI Republicans pushed through a law to thwart the powers that the then incoming Evers administration would have during a lame duck session last year. That law now stands in the way of Wisconsin receiving federal money and other resources to fight the pandemic. So what we now have is an extreme slowing of the process. The federal government wants to give states emergency funding to fight COVID, but WISGOP's lame duck laws require state agencies to seek legislative approval before accessing these funds. The state legislature is not only going to be slower than any state agency (simple fact that legislatures are slower than agencies), but the Republican leaders of our state legislature have also decided they're on vacation until 2021, and aren't required to actually convene in order to grant approval for accessing emergency health funds. Robin Vos and Republicans continue to fuck things up and cause death, more news at 10.
With the full tax credit, pretty sure you can a bronze plan for like $70/month. Obviously not as ideal as "free," but it's also better than $300 - $400/month or more
what about that $4,000-$8,000 deductible? it's kind of a bitch when you can't afford your health insurance even when the government is subsidizing it

The best way to keep the economy going is to put money into consumers hands and let them stimulate the economy. Giving money to corporations hasn't worked because they keep needing bailouts, so take that money and put it in our hands and let us decide what businesses work and what don't. Pissing around with small amounts for us and billions for corporations won't mean a damn thing when any money made after we go back to work is used to catch up on bills, mortgages, rent and utilities. This is so stupid.
My wife is a PA. From what she has read, it’s really difficult to get through to the number because so many people are trying.
Trump Touted Abbott’s Quick COVID-19 Test. HHS Document Shows Only 5,500 Are On Way For Entire U.S. khn.org/news/t.
It’s not an option if you can’t eat. I’m not sure what your point is. But getting a tax credit for it is great
There’s people all over the place driving around and walking around that I just saw on my way to work. Florida hasn’t changed for shit
Lol Tummy Lahrens smug bullshit. She’d be too fucking dumb to know whether she was spewing outright propaganda.
Sigh...not a chud, call it whatever you want. I just don't get the logic of roasting a plan that substantially improves everyone's situation, even if it doesn't go as far as you want
What do you mean what my point is? $70 insurance plan is affordable for millions more people (even if unemployed) vs $500/month. It would be a dramatic improvement that we could likely do without legislation. Executive branch could do it unilaterally I believe. Also, with unemployment insurance - people aren't starving. You're using the most extreme example. The tax credit comes out on the front-end, have you ever used the marketplace?
People are absolutely starving with unemployment insurance. Have you ever had to decide to pay rent or buy groceries?
I think you're full of shit TBH - article links to the masses currently starving at the moment? As I said, you used the most extreme example. $70 insurance is affordable to millions more than $500
The ACA does suck. The bronze plan is one step up from catastrophic health insurance. It's a Band-Aid on a bullet wound. Now before bertstare agrees with me, understand that the bullet wound is fully private healthcare. Any half-hearted system between fully private healthcare and socialized healthcare will necessarily suck -- as those on the right want and have planned it to be. Of course, those on the right don't you want to know that many socialized healthcare systems are augmented by private options.
Yeah and I think you’re full of shit because $70 is still unaffordable if you don’t have income. If you’re gonna keep being a bitch you can just suck my dick
What planet do you live on? Lower-income people — both in inner cities and in rural areas — often have to choose between eating/feeding their families and paying bills such as rent, electric, etc. Pimping up the process of making them pay for the privilege of being kept alive by medical professionals is a weird take. Not all of America is some middle-class utopia.
