IMO FullTilt is the best. It's somewhat difficult to put money on( I had 5 $ transferred and went up from there). I just transferred 1.2k into my bank account and it was there within 1 hour. So it's easy to cash out, but hard to put in....about the opposite as you'd think.

Pokerstars is the only other site I've played on and it's easy to put money on, and easy to take off.

The reason I say FT is the best is because you can get rakeback. NEVER sign up on the site. Sign up from another site and get rakeback and/or Poker Tracker. The best site to sign up on, that I've seen lately is : http://www.fastrakeback.com/rakeback/Full-Tilt-Poker.aspx

If you want you could always have me give you a referral haha. FWIW my account name isn't my TMB screen name on either site. Someone jacked my PS name so I had to make up a new and use it for FT as well.

In case you don't know what Rakeback is:

The serious online poker player understands that playing lots of hours and thousands of hands can quickly add up in rake; therefore, rakeback programs were introduced for certain online poker rooms.

Here's how it works with Full Tilt Poker, Rakeback Pros is compensated by Full Tilt Poker for bringing players to their card room. We receive a percentage of the rake our players generate during the week. We then give 27% back to our players in the form of rakeback. Each week when we are paid our commission, our players receive a transfer from us equaling 27% of the rake they have generated throughout the week minus bonuses and fees.

For more information on how Full Tilt Poker calculates how much rake you have generated please see below.

PokerStars is by far and away the best, it's not even close. Anyone pimping FullTilt is doing so solely for rakeback affiliate reasons.

They have the best support, the fastest pay-outs, the best action, and the best software.

LOL and me as an affiliate.

Pokerstars doesn't give rakeback unless you pay a ton in rake a month. If they are jumping in and starting with an account of 5k+ and plan to play a lot, go to poker stars. If you're putting in less and don't want to get raped by rakeback, go to FT.

And Pokerstars plays soooooo fucking slow. you can 16 table on pokerstars easily, not so much on Fulltilt because the play is that much faster.

Softer games, bigger variety of games, bigger player pool, 3 different BB buy-in options at each cash game level, the ability to 24-table, the best support/security in the business and that's not up for debate, first site to offer an RSA token, biggest guaranteed MTTs, software that doesn't crash 10x a day or need to update 5x a week, etc...

List goes on man, FullTilt offers rakeback for a reason: they'd have no business if they competed on a level playing field with Stars. About the only thing FullTilt has over Stars is Rush which after the first month or so has been full of nits. Being Supernova on Stars is better than 27% rakeback, it works out to like 25% base rakeback then tacking on milestones, stellar rewards, and other perks and you're looking at low-30s on the best site in the world.

re: slow tables, the "fast" tables at 6max cash are typically at ~100h/hr which is perfectly acceptable. If you're playing the std. speed FR tables you're not going to get in more than 55h/hr on any site. I play PLO and the fast 6max fast tables are like ~60-70h/hr which is very good.

Solid info there. I'm curious what limit you play? Also, I only play 6$ SNG. Would I be able to get rakeback on stars?

There is no rakeback at stars, it is called "rakeback equivalent". I play $1/$2 PLO and some HU SNGs in the $30-$100 range.

well if you're grinding $6.50 turbos you're making 2-3 VPPs per each SNG, you need a certain number of VPPs to reach each VIP level and you'll have to maintain that monthly. There is no set rakeback at stars, they have bonuses that you earn from your player points and you receive a certain number of player points for each VPP depending on your VIP level. At the $6.50's you'd have to grind a lot to make PlatinumStar so in your case I could see the 27% rakeback at FTP being better. I'd say those grinding the $16 turbos would be better off at Stars. However, you could play at both, Stars introduced "stellar" rewards this year which is $1,000 worth of bonuses that don't cost any FPPs, you just have to generate enough rake/fees to clear them. I think they work out to about an additional ~12% rakeback for that first $1,000.

So in summary, the lower the limits the better off you'd be at FTP. Everyone should note the 27% rakeback at FTP does not go along with the $600 deposit bonus. You cannot get both, meaning if you get a rakeback account there (which you should) then you won't be able to double-dip and get the $600 bonus at the same time.

About the Rakeback and 600$ bonus, I get rakeback and I emailed FTP about if I deposit 600$ if they'll match it and they said 100% yes because I had money transferred, not deposited to my account previously.

You may mean that I will collect the bonus, but I'll have negative rakeback and will have to make it up. The 600$ acts as 100% rakeback up to 600$ so in the end it's really only 428$ that I'm getting out of the bonus because of negative rakeback

I'll look into it to confirm either way, but you should def. sign up for rakeback regardless, and if you cannot get the bonus simultaneously and you'd rather deposit a smaller amount then that would be the plan.

guess not, there's a well-known online player/instructor that goes by Terp who plays a decent amount of midstakes PLO.

Is there any website you guys know of where I could organize an online poker tournament for friends? The money aspect could be handled outside of this website via Venmo or something so that aspect isn't as important. Just want something trustworthy and user-friendly.

I'd like to do it with some friends but I'd also be interested in doing it with TMB. Especially if we could work out some sort of way to funnel some entry fees or something to a good cause (probably COVID19 related).

We'll find an accredited non-profit organization with a high transparency score to donate to when we cross that bridge.
