I’m missing how whenever a Delores copy inhabits someone that she knows everything about them, what they should say and how their relationships with others work. This show is so fucked up you can even get the correct wording for your questions
There is still a 5th copy that is unaccounted for I believe. Plus whoever she is talking to on comms all the time that is doing all her hacking and what not for her (which could be the 5th copy). So maybe they are feeding these people the info they need? Remember Dolores has access to the database that the French dude is after.
I’ve found it best to just stop trying to understand anything. The show doesn’t look like anything to me.
I don’t enjoy being confused all the time watching a show but this is one that you need to just trust that everything will make a bit of sense at the end. You don’t need to get everything right now, just enjoy the show is how I approach watching this. I just hope they tie it up nicely at the end. I get what you are saying, people tend to lose focus when they have no idea what is going on.
I got the impression that it wasn’t fully realized/aware Delores. When she kills the pedophile it triggered something in her. “You’re not the only predator here” implies she’s not on mastermind Delores level.
that chase scene tonight was classic nolan bombard you with a bunch of well-designed and executed visuals to distract you from how shitty the writing is
WATCHMEN did it better. They hyped up the car chase and it was fine Ramin does it great again with another cover. Caleb is Teddy
I'm personally enjoying this season. Is it the best thing I've ever seen? No, but I'm still having fun.
Thought they were setting it up for Caleb to be an outlier. Agree just poorly executed all over the place, but progressed the story a good deal.
in hindsight I’m not sure this show ever had anything interesting to say, it just seemed like it because Sir Anthony Hopkins was saying the lines
I think episode 4 was terrific and they didn’t keep it at the same level for this one. Thought the visuals were cool. It’s got some elements of EQUILIBRIUM, which is an amazing movie.
i enjoyed it. mostly the music and editing. the genre trip was well choreographed. the Serac background was sufficient for my needs, as was understanding Dolores' "drive" for doing all this. her freeing of Bernard makes more sense to me too. sort of how Arnold coached her to consciousness way back when, she's doing the same thing for Bernard now? maybe i am misinterpreting his role. hearkens back to the "bicameral mind" ... maybe she also realizes she needs that antagonist to keep learning herself? anyhoo, the show was never gonna top the reveals of season 1, so might as well accept that and enjoy the cool scenes and pretty music
Just binged the 5 eps of season 3 so far. I think it’s great. I really enjoy watching these videos in between too.
