Not really a hot sauce but I love their creamy jalapeno sauce and get it added to a lot of items there I miss their verde sauce dearly
Not upset about any of this. You have to understand the evolutionary and revolutionary nature of Taco Bell’s menu. Yeah, they cut these items out....and next week they will totally redeem themselves by coming out with the 3D Doritos cheesy Gordita crunch (hypothetical example)
I am a proud Taco Bell fanatic, but they’ve made some interesting menu choices in the last year. Even their random limited menu items end up being something they’ve had before or a “XL”/“Double” version of something like a Crunchwrap.
My favorite ex items are nacho cheese chicken chalupa and chili cheese burrito. Pissed now they're getting rid of 7 layer burrito.
Chicken grilled stuffed burrito was the only thing worth a damn and it’s better to just go to Chipotle or any of those types of places for something better.
I ask for fire but it’s all super weak, tbh. They’re obviously scared to release a real hot sauce as customers have been begging for it for decades and they keep giving them the same shit under a snappy new name. 30 years in the future it’ll be mild - medium - hot - fire - diablo - ghost - tnt - C4 - plutonium - thermonuclear - Chernobyl - Nova - supernova - black hole - etc..., and the workers will have to spend 25 hrs a day sorting all the packets and they’ll all taste exactly like mild.
Never had Taco Bell in 38 years of existence. Maybe next time I am down your way but I usually prefer the local places
I’ll never understand the “too good for Taco Bell” type takes. If you don’t want to eat it that’s cool, but don’t act like I’m eating Taco Bell and mistaking it for authentic Mexican cuisine either.
not sure if that was directed at me or not, I am definitely not above Taco Bell. It’s just that we don’t have those here and when I am visiting I am not going to McDonald’s or Taco Bell to eat. I actually would love if we had it around here.
seriously, rereading my post made me feel like such a fucking douchebag. i really want to try Taco Bell, it’s just hard when I visit an American city once every 2-3 years. I try to make the most of it and Taco Bell is way down the list.
Only when they’re debating between chains like a Michelin chef arguing the nuances of French cuisine. I’m not above it completely and don’t think it’s a cardinal sin if you eat it in moderation.
Honestly, I get it. If you don’t live in the US, then Taco Bell shouldn’t be high on your list of “restaurants” to visit (well, pre-Demolition Man merger). But, if you live here, there are few better late night orders than Taco Bell. I would have boycotted it forever if they got rid of the chicken quesadilla.
Loved Baja Gorditas - removed Loved Double Decker Supremes - removed Loved Grilled Stuffed Burritos - removed Loved 7-Layer Burritos- removed TB is really trying me.
I am going on a tangent here but you guys get such a bad reputation because of these huge chains. People here, and I imagine it’s the same in other countries, associate American with cheap. Like a budweiser and coors light, that’s American beer for them. They don’t even acknowledge the fact that the best micro breweries in the world are American. People assume that you eat shitty food in the us but if you just make a bit of an effort you will find some incredible restaurants and products. I can’t even tell you how many times I had that conversation with people who never even went to the USA. stereotypes and such
