You can literally tie a t-shirt around your head and have the same effect as fancy, customized, homemade cloth masks. Not being a smartass, that’s reality. They do the same thing in protecting the public from your output.

I feel like no one is actually realizing the point of masks. The masks are to stop all of US from spreading the virus, it is not for personal protection. Can you make masks they provide some protection? Sure, they finding out that blue shop towels work as a solid filter with upwards of 80% coverage — but that’s not what the mask push is intending.
I don’t care if people run without masks. But if you do, be sure to clear the fuck out of the way from everyone in your path.

Ya. Not sure that lady got dramatically boxed in as the tweet suggests. She had a right to be mad if that’s the case. otherwise, if she was just inconvenienced for having to move around, that’s lame of her to freak out. even with masks, you should be keeping your distance running.

Well, it takes multiple people to move. It’s like with driving — look 15 seconds in front of you. I take 60-90 minute walks/hikes every day maskless but I’m also cognizant of what’s going on and make sure I’m staying the fuck away from approaching people.

I'm sure the girl who screamed didn't think it was funny, and I wouldn't have either. It's frustrating. I have been avoiding the grocery store as much as possible, but even when it's slow, you have to be careful about getting boxed in on an aisle with ppl coming down the aisle from different directions. I just want to get the hell out of that aisle when that happens.
I’ve been running with a survivor mask around my neck and I bought a homemade mask from a local business yesterday. Should get it in a day or two. just don’t think ppl should be screaming out at other ppl for shit like that. Everyone made fair points tho

I’m not going to waste a second getting upset at how the people around me act with this because I literally have near-zero power to change them. I’m 100% glasses dependent but back in the ancient times when I could still run more than 10ft I just didn’t wear them. My problem was/is my glasses need to be adjusted. They fall off my face but I can’t get that done now so if I wear them I’m constantly having to push them back on which is no bueno. Slapped some croakies on them and cinched them up.
