I could be wrong but even if covid is twice as deadly as the flu, if it is more contagious doesn’t that in and of itself make it way more dangerous? If 45 million get the flu at .13% that’s bad, if 200 million get covid at .2% that’s a disaster
that would be true but to believe that the covid death ratio is at 0.2%, you have to ignore all of the good data we have and only look at some preliminary antibody testing. Antibody testing has not proven reliable at all so far. we would all love for this to be true but the situations on the ground in cities with big outbreaks show that it very likely isn’t.

Good news is my dad, who has had 4 heart attacks, doesn’t think he has heart disease. Also claims he only takes insulin and checks his blood sugar because he’s “pre-diabetic”. So he tells me he’s good to go and “should be fine” because he has “no underlying medical conditions”. I’ve pleaded with him during this and he seems to be daring the virus to kill him. Those models showed what could theoretically happen if we were practicing full social distancing (which we arent) and continue to do so until the end of May. The point of the model was to show what the effects of what social distancing could do, not a prediction of what is going to happen.
