Loved Ace Combat 7. Def worth buying the Thrustmaster controller for challenging but more fun gameplay. Thrustmaster T-Flight Hotas One (XBOX One and PC)
1. Bleeding Egde is.....meh 2. I beat the Ace Combat game in about 2 weeks. Really solid game. Same shit different game but I'm totally fine with it 3. Still playing FF15, which has gotten a lot better. It took about 6-7 hours to get into it but it's fantastic now. Camera is a little wonky sometimes but I'm having a blast so far. Think I am 22 hours in or so. Probably halfway through.
Gamepass has ruined me. I will download a game and try it for 30 minutes and quit if it doesn't grip me. I don't have any skin in the game without buying it directly
What do y'all know about this game? Saw it in the store last night. Looks like a Tom Hanks simulator.
Looks a healthy bit like subnautica. Which I highly recommend if you are interested in this type of game.
I thought it was an odd choice. I’m playing it and it even has controller mappings by default. that said, it’s rough with a controller
Same here. I love tactics games and gears. This is torture. I guess it was past time for me to buy a gaming PC anyways.
I’ve been playing Mutant Yero Zero from Game Pass and it’s scratching their itch right now I’m still pissed off, but this is a fun game tbh
I knew about that prior and played the fuck out of it when it first came out on gamepass. I thought it was a really fun game. But I really love the gears universe and I want gears tactics bad.
Haven't played my xbox in about a year. Signed up for 3 years of ultimate game pass for $90 last night. I don't think it's just because I'm bored but also because I need to feel a few wins during the Rona.
Slickdeals.net - that site has saved me thousands of dollars over the years. This was the xbox live gold. A few messages down it tells you how to do it but basically you buy the Brazil codes through cdkeys, turn on a vpn (I used tunnelbear for free on my phone) and change location to Brazil, then load it onto your acct. Mine was $29/yr https://slickdeals.net/f/14004098-12-month-xbox-live-gold-brazil-26-69-daily-deal?attrsrc=Test:ElasticsearchIntegration:Elasticsearch_rev3&src=SiteSearchV2Algo1 Then, if you've never been on gamepass ultimate (I never had), your dashboard will let you upgrade to it for $1. It converts your remaining xbox live time up to a max of 3 years. Details in this thread: https://slickdeals.net/f/13935842-three-years-of-xbox-game-pass-ultimate-conversion-deal-151 All worked as of last night at 11 pm CST.
I was a bit nervous but it all went through. So best case: $2.50/month of game pass ultimate. Worst case: microsoft figures it out and I'm out a max $90. Now I need recommendations for awesome games for solo story play if members of the thread could help please.
Aside from load times and maybe some up scaling, I’m tempering my expectations since they’ve said no next gen exclusives for at least a year after launch
There are a ton of games on Gamepass. Here's a list, and all of this is based on their single player gameplay. Some have options for multi-player but are completely fine by yourself. Top Tier: Witcher 3, State of Decay 2, Monster Hunter World (Weaker on story, great on gameplay), Lonely Mountain Downhill (Love this game, but not a story based game) Next Tier: Screamride, TABS 2, Brothers (Incredible story), Ryse Son of Rome, GTA 5, Kingdom Come Deliverance Single player games in my queue: Yakuza Kiwami (though I've not actually played this one), Two Point Hospital, Middle Earth Shadow of War, Quantam Break (Have DL'd, but yet to play), NieR Automata, Sunset Overdrive, Totally Reliable Delivery Service, Blair Witch Ones I didn't like as much: Anything with 16 bit graphics, We Happy Few, Life is Strange, Tacoma, Vampyr, Elite Dangerous (honestly fuck that game)
Not sure about STORY, but both Ori games are must plays. I say that even as someone who has yet to start the sequel.
hi can i connect my apple 4k streaming device to my xbox 1s via one guide and still get 4k resolution?
Probably going to get it today or this weekend. Let me know what you think. by far my favorite zombie game. Last game I'll link today.... I only watched the first like 5 minutes of this review, but it's pretty effing glowing, as are the comments below. Anyone played this yet?
99% sure the HDMI input on the Xbox One S supports 4k, though might be 30fps instead of 60fps like on the Xbox One X.You will lose HDR almost definitely. If you plug the Apple 4k into the Xbox, and then go to One Guide, you'll be able to run a connection test under the apple tv settings to see what resolution and features (e.g. 30/60fps and HDR) are suppported.
hello, yes thank you both for your responses in helping me figure this out. just finished troubleshooting, and according to the apple connection test when connected to my xbox and oneguide, the resolution was 1080p, but when connected straight to my tv it’s at 2160p, so i think that might settle that you’re both scholars and gentlemen and likes will be distributed your way in the coming days ahead - thank you and god bless life story in the spoiler tldr; it’s complicated Spoiler lol yeah sooo i do use 90% of my streaming on xbox with no probs, butttt there are a couple things i can’t stream on the xbox (epl on the nbc sports app to name one...not that that matters now anyway :/). i had a roku that i was using for that final 10%, but over the last year or two my roku’s gotten super dodgy (freezing and the device restarting 30 seconds into whatever i’m streaming...repeatedly). i’ve had that old roku forever, but i figured it was time to go our separate ways that’s where the apple tv comes in...as to why i wanted to hook it up to the xbox, i have my 10 year old amp and speakers connected straight to my xbox, so i was hoping to be able to use the amp and speakers instead of just the built-in tv speaker when streaming using the apple tv. i tried connecting the amp and speakers to the tv, but it seemed to me there was a decent amount of lag whenever i would stream from my xbox (could’ve just been my imagination), but yeah
you're welcome gooner. I run my Apple TV 4k straight to the TV, it has the best connectivity and performance of all my smart boxes, so I don't run it through the Xbox via the HDMI passthru port, though I'm pretty sure it should work at 4k30. I googled and seemingly MS didn't publish the HDMI spec for the In port on the Xbox One S. You will definitely experience lag and possibly audio sync issues on that port. In the past, I've only put live tv and old devices like VCR thru there. Edit: There should be a NBCSN app on the XBOX for EPL games, when they return. Also your cable provider may have an app too on the Xbox, if you're impartial to the experience on Apple TV.
HDMI v1.4 supports 4k30fps, but yeah could be other handshakes (e.g. HDCP) that cause it too fail and fallback to 1080.
Yup the apple tv 4k is 2.0 so from that to xbone s you’re basically requesting to do diet 4k which no dice, hence just rendering in 1080p
