It would be really nice if we could snag one more piece here in free agency to cut down on the number of flat out needs. We really need DL help and the WR learning curve can be a year or two.
Hopefully this is seen as a way to improve the bottom of the roster and not a solution to the starting lineup. There is certainly value in the former. If nothing else a big slow WR is pretty much what Graham brought to the table and he'll be much cheaper.
Looking at the pending free agents next year, they really need to do some damage in the draft this year. If Gary steps up you wonder if they could trade one of the Smith's next year.
Just finish tmb mock draft, here is what I ended up with 1.30 - Brandon Aiyuk WR, ASU 2.62 - Lloyd Cushenberry OL, LSU 3.94 - Logan Wilson, LB Wyoming 4.136 - Jason Strowbridge, DL UNC 5.175 - Javaris Davis CB, Auburn 6.192 - James Proche WR, SMU 6.208 - Devin Asiasi TE, UCLA 6.209 - Benny LeMay RB, Charlotte 7.236 - Trevon Hill Edge, Miami 7.242 - Justin Herron OT, Wake Forest
Big ten Bros, could Epenesa play DL for us or should he just be a SDE in a four man front? Just did this, if Epenesa works for us I would be on board.
Side note, I’d love to see the source because I’d have to guess Wentz was second. I would also be interested in lost yards because of Adams being down.
Might as well quit watching the NFL if this is who we're hitching our future to. What an unfathomably stupid selection and fucking trading up to do it. Fuck you, Gutecunt
Rebuilding for years down the road when we have a legit chance to make a run with a few pieces this year is stupid
I completely get trying to plan for the future but Jordan Love isn't the player to sacrifice the now for. I would've understood if Herbert fell and we grabbed him. We just have a guy who regressed in the Mountain West in '19 now. Forgive me if I'm not sold on him being the heir apparent. Anyone comparing this to the Rodgers pick in 2005 hasn't actually watched Love play. Rodgers legitimately should've been the #1 pick and was gifted to us. Love was never anywhere close to Tua, Burrow, or Herbert.
It’s really neat last time we drafted a skill player in 1st round was Aaron Rodgers glad sports are cancelled forever
The future looks pretty fucking bleak. Probably won't pay Jones, Adams will likely walk after '21, and Rodgers is effectively on his way out now so we can building around JORDAN FUCKING LOVE. We have no other offensive skill talent and passed on a receiver in a ridiculous deep top of the draft class. Good fucking job, Gutecunt. This thing was mostly built with popsicle sticks and glue. It's going to get ugly.
Starting to feel like Gutekunst got lucky with 2019 Free Agency Class and the guy is just bad at his job. Josh Jackson sucks; Kevin King sucks, Gary sucks, Oren Burks sucks, J'Mon Moore cut, Cole Madison likely to be cut
Unbelievable... I knew this was going to happen, it was too easy to help the team now and we fucking went for the "best value" on their board. So tired of this playing out every year in the draft, might as well never watch.
I don’t know if this is official, only thing I could find and not verified. Details of the GB-MIA trade earlier. #Packers get: • No. 26 (Love) #Dolphins get: • No. 30 • No. 136 - 4th round pick
Kevin King had 5 picks last year and a shit load of pass break ups Gary was productive on the snaps he did get last year. All of the good WR's we take come from the second round and there will be some there when we pick You leave out Darnell Savage and Elgton Jenkins who are studs I'm not happy with the pick either but the state of the roster is not as dire as you make it out to be
WR round 2 OT/DL round 3 OT/DL round 5 (whichever we don't get in the 3rd) LB/CB/WR round 6 OL/DL round 7 Sign Taylor Gabriel Sign Tramon Trade a 2021 pick for Njoku or Howard
Unless the Love pick is related to the current circumstances of the virus and no CFB/NFL possibility, I still can't wrap my head around the pick.
