I don't know much about this kid, but wouldn't he have gone to ND knowing this was a potential/probable outcome? Seems like he wanted a bit of space (again, knowing very little about the situation).
He left Marian for LaLumiere during the season, so I am not sure he really wanted to stay in the area. I know LaPorte is only 30 minutes but still.
It could be, but I think he would go a little further than just down the road if he truly wanted space
Apparently the Muffet news was long in the works. They delayed the announcement hoping that students could come back but finally went ahead and made it public
My fiancée watched a q&a with swarbrick today. That was one major update. Everything else was “we don’t know yet” but he made it seem like football with no fans was a last resort, but didn’t see it happening. And the Ireland news posted today didn’t actually change anything. Sporting events were excluded. Still doubt it happens, but it’s not canceled yet
Makes sense. Having Ivey lined up already showed it was at the very least expected soon and the board was REALLY short.
Wow... didn’t expect the Muffet news. Hope she gets a statue soon. And I hope Brey is paying attention.
With 4 top 50 recruits in the class of 2020 and the #2 player overall in 2021, assume they'll be back to competing for Final 4s pretty quickly
How much are they allowed to disclose to the kid? This seems very much like a commitment they timed to build momentum.
oh I'm sure they were talking to her through the whole thing and it was all planned. they just had to trust that she wouldn't say anything publically which it seems like she didn't
wish the giants snagged Claypool but they made the right choice. Wish we had picks in the 3rd but Gettleman is a fucktard. Okwara was 1 pick away and Detroit grabbed him. I guess im happy because if we passed id rage.
ND didnt have much NFL talent the last two years, winning 23 games is kind of impressive in retrospect
Good call. I think this proves that when we were winning 8-9 games per season, talent was the differentiator causing us to lose most of those games. But now that we’re closer to the cusp of competing with the elite, it’s likely talent - particularly at the QB position - where we need help.
I’m going to look into P5 wins last 3 years and NFL picks once this draft is over I think their will be a story there
The biggest problem beyond QB is the overall lack of DBs, RBs and LBs drafted. It's always OL, DL, TE and now a few more WR.
Kareem to my Bengals feels good. Defense needs lots of help and he should have a very good shot to compete.
When’s the expected decision this week on the Navy game. Does everyone think it just gets moved to Annapolis or what’s possible?
