Kinda annoyed by the new game. It's not unique in any way. I wish they would have just used this creative style but with "simulation" controls and moves. IE. something closer to the N64 days. I think there is an opportunity to simplify controls and graphics without going full on wrestlers being eaten by alligators. I know it's a weird comparison, but back on Nintendo Wii, EA released Grand Slam Tennis which had a more cartoony style but the gameplay was still based on "real tennis" but simple controls. Or basically imagine what Mario Tennis is (without the power moves).
THQ and 2K said the AKI Engine was too slow. They wanted something, at first, more fast-paced (THQ) or sim-oriented (2K). Neither have produced a game as simply "fun" to play as No Mercy was.
You guys act like the perfect wrestling video game, Fire Pro Wrestling, doesn't exist...which is really weird
Yes- I need WWE production with Fire Pro/N64 style gameplay. IS THAT TOO MUCH TO ASK!?!? Also I understand not having Fire Pro gameplay with 2K graphics. It would probably kind of look weird to have realistic looking 'bodies' in that kind of gameplay and speed. Not to mention I think the scales are off as far as wrestlers-to-ring. But that's why you can have the cartoony (but sharp) graphics style with the classic gameplay and it could work.
That looks like shit. Only wrestling games have gotten progressively worse over 20 years in every way imaginable.
think it looks pretty cool, not gonna buy it, but as a fan of Wrestlemania The Arcade Game from back in the day, I can fuck with over the top cartoon fighting
They've already taped the MITB match (without him in it). Last night was live. It's an angle. And a good one, because he had no business being in MITB.
Mania 13 go home Bret pissed, Austin pissed, shouting ensues, Sid saunters down shouting "I don't know shit!" solid gold
The Lapsed Fan's take on Collision in Korea is just fantastic "What happens when the Worker's Party meets some real workers" "North Korea, the country that keeps kayfabe better than anyone...."
It’s still amazing to me that there is no video of the accident. I’m not saying I want to watch it but more that it’s incredible to think that in an arena of tens of thousands during a live television event that not one camera caught it. That would never happen in today’s day and age
Yeah in 1999 you would have had to bring an actual video camera into the show which, back then, likely would have been confiscated had it been spotted. Not worth the risk
Things I never need to see: Vice President Vince McMahon Hiromu trying another phoenix suplex The Owen tape
the kick at the end of Raw on Monday was hilarious. wasn't even close to even looking like it landed.
Favorite part was when I couldn’t distinguish a single word Herb said while completely coked out during the Vegas show
