did the season end last night? i gave up and didnt watch last wk, but can fire thru two more eps i guess
Increasingly more convinced that this show was never good. Season 1 was more of a novelty that seemed far better than it was thanks to Hopkins & Harris abilities. Everything has been needlessly convoluted to cover up the fact that it's just one giant cheap gimmick (the story was taking place in multiple timelines!, it was actually a different character in this person's body, multiple timelines again!) which has grown soooooo tiresome. Now that the novelty has worn off we're just left with terrible writing.
HBO needs to take whatever budget they have planned for future WW seasons and leave it on Lindelof's doorstep imo.
They really killed William in a post credit scene. That’s the best they could do for the most interesting character on the show?
I couldn't tell you what happened in the second to last episode. I watched the little recap and just was like wtf.
It should’ve been a 2 hour movie as a connection to season 4. There’s really only enough story for a few episodes but they dragged it out to 8.
Haven't watched this season. Thinking about not. Think I'd be content to let the story end where it did.
I find myself thinking back to this every few days Paul's a schmuck if he didn't throw a celeb-tantrum trying to get out of that line
Binged seasons 1-2 with the GF since she had never seen it before watching this seasons (sans episode 1 on premiere night) and I actually liked season 2 a lot more on the 2nd viewing. Holding off on reading the last couple pages since I'm only through episode 7, but just wanted to say when Delores floats the idea of humans needing a new leader and looking at Pinkman.... LMAOOOO what a hustle. Chili P ruling the world yo. Kinda hope it happens
Well that took forever to finish. It was not good. That stinks too because the concept is so promising. I can’t tell if Nolan and his wife just can’t say what they want to say, because it seems to be right there and not quite getting through.
They had something going with the Pinkman character and determinism of humans in a hypercorporatized and technological future being no different than the robots. But this entire show outside of s1 is a brainstorming whiteboard session without any execution
I gave up on it towards the end of season 2. So much potential and they lost me. movie still better. Probably should read the book too
Im just finishing Sesaon 3. It took a couple episodes to get me into it. I dont mind it but I feel like its an entirely different show than Season 1.
I agree. The aspects of the show that made season 1 interesting aren't the same in season 3, but I also enjoyed it. There are only so many episodes they can make about a park, though.
Think I watched the last season but it was so boring I don’t remember anything that happened to know whether it reached a natural ending or not in fact that last season doesn’t look like anything at all but…. looks like they’re gonna try to out-weird raised by wolves now or something, what with the kids face splitting open and shooting out flies or whatever that was going on
No idea where they are going with this. I thought Evan Rachel Wood's character was dead at the end of last season.
its almost like HBO knows that, too it’s a show so meta it knows that it’s trash but has all the trappings of “prestige” tv and we’ll all watch because we’re dumb lemmings
at this point, almost all i’m looking forward to is the music when djawadi used c.r.e.a.m. at the end of an already awesome episode (akane no mai) i lost my shit
Hopefully at least better than season 3. Show had a lot of potential at first. Always good to see Thandiwe with a katana though.
This shows refusal to pick up where it left off after a season is mystifying. They do everything well EXCEPT storytelling.
