UofSC will return to in person classes in August (just announced). Nothing mentioned about sports so far
Nice. That’s good news for sports at least. Schools need to start back as normal for sports to even have a chance.
The death rate overall has dropped, comparatively to normal flu deaths. So while Corona is taking up a portion of that, it's still lower than normal death rates of flu +h1n1 etc. Its a nonissue.
oh so now I’m seeing Caslen announced our opening in conjunction with the other SEC schools. THAT’S what this is about lol. should end well.
I’m surprised something was announced today — they previously indicated a call would be made between May 15 to June 15 and prob toward the latter
I did. It came Monday afternoon, I believe. I know we have to go back to work eventually but I'm hoping I can retain some work from home flexibility since it's now been proved it works fine
publico had to shut it down after being open less than two hours because ppl couldn’t be bothered to respect social distancing, etc. this is going to be a nightmare
I imagine telling students “chill or no football” could work. Fuck — just thought about what tailgating and social distance would be like. Don’t see that happening at frat lots
the problem with telling the students to ‘chill’ is their version of chilling is packing the pool at the Hub and playing floating beer pong. like they either don’t get it or they don’t care. ftr i probably would have done the same shit in my undergrad years.
Agreed, there’s only so much you can do to stop young people from being young. I think when people “shame” them online for the Jakes line or whatever it’s just gonna make them do it more. USC football without tailgating...
If the games are open to fans, my guess is that social distancing guidelines will no longer be in place. What effect no-fans games have on tailgating is anyone's guess though. Five points I think will be an older crowd than usual this semester. I can definitely see cops using covid restrictions to enter bars and make more MIP citations down there.
Allegedly. We have 6 million people in the state with 5500 verified cases after 2 months. Give me a break
feel so bad for those employees. sick of the mask-less assholes not adhering to simple procedures like one-way aisles.
Embarrassing admission: I had never been to the three rivers/cayce river walk before yesterday. I had no idea how nice it was. Aren't they supposed to be developing the Columbia side soon?
Adding more to it yeah but the cola side is already better IMO. Enter through Riverfront Park off laurel st (behind big Aflac building on huger)
Still feel the same way. Most places like SC have a .02% death rate of the population. For this, the country and administration can tell you what to do, where to go, etc. Fuck that
USC owns the riverfont between Gervais and Blossom Street. (Gift of Guignard family a few years back) The plan is for it to eventually become a park as campus moves down that way. It's one far edge of the "master plan." The area is actually starting to take shape pretty well now -- construction being done to extend Greene Street past Colonial Life on down over the railroad tracks, past Columbia Craft and running into Huger. That's happening now so it won't be long that you can walk straight down Greene from Five Points to the river.
Because I want to live my life how I please when the next "bubonic plague" has been nothing but a cooked up version of the flu in some lab and then fed to the world like we are all gonna die? And then every human right we have taken away? Yea, I'm good.
The difference in between us is I havent wished anything on you, never called you names, and hope you are free to do as you please. If that is staying home in time out, congrats. Let me do what I wish to and the world will be a better place. If I am wrong then I wont be here long anyway.
I hOPe YoU GeT COrOnaViRuS aNd diE I disagree with your stance on the coronavirus, but the predictable nature of responses from some of the dumbfuck frat bros who decided they were leftists later in life never disappoints.
