well, that's a mistake. You can't let Trump continually set the talking points, day in day out. Again, why the Democrats aren't having their own daily press conference with, idk, pick one of them -- Schiff or someone -- to present their own Coronavirus narrative and refute the daily falsehoods that come from Trump and his surrogates' mouths, is beyond me. This is a complete failure of leadership.
Can you imagine what a DNC or Biden presser explaining that they understand the risks and idea that this will only get worse now and return in the fall but this is our plan to combat the virus would do right now? People are scared and even 5% of a showing of leadership could save this sinking ship of a country we call America.

I don't think it can be a governor, just because it would look like they're politicking instead of trying to keep people alive. I think it would need to be someone in Congress. Anyway, it's not going to happen anyway, because the democrats haven't learned anything from 2016 or the past 3 years.

I kinda see both sides. Every time Trump opens his mouth his approval numbers drop but more than anything we need a calming voice. I wonder how much of this has to do with fear of Biden speaking?

I mean it kind of makes sense if you think of it in terms of the entire GOP not just Trump. If Reagan is Death Star 1 (beginning of the modern GOP), then every time the Empire's super weapon is defeated by the plucky rebels (Clinton, Obama), they somehow come back with an even larger, more dangerous, more deranged version of themselves (Bush, Trump).
