Btw this salon owner has already received half a million via go fund me and there’s y’all of her running for office.
idk man probably long enough where 2000+ people aren’t dying every fucking day. you know, maybe when states actually meet the guidelines set by the cdc? that not a single state has gotten close to doing. now there’s going to be a bigger spike because of all this shit opening you’re trying to tell me you agree with bars being open at 50% during a god damn pandemic? if so, there’s nothing i can say to you to change your mind.
SC seems to be flat case/death wise, but not declining. I'm still team do some level of suppression and think restaurant/bars should be further down the road as they're easily the worst disease vectors even at 50% which is a higher rate than most areas are starting. 10% positive rate means theres a lot of infections bouncing around that are being missed too. Although if we're just giving up on containing it in any way might as well just let it ravage the state.
i came at you that way because of what you were saying the other day i sincerely hope you’ve reconsidered your views
What about the thousands of missed cancer screenings and things like this? https://www.google.com/amp/s/amp.cn...rculosis-deaths-lockdown-scli-intl/index.html
I like that you pretend you genuinely want to discuss it then in the next breath go "WHATABOUT THE GLOBAL FIGHT WITH TB" in response to restaurant reopenings.
Alabama re-opening to some extent Monday. I do like they at least admitted that they abandoned the data and we are opening up even though we've seen an increase in cases.
Seems like repressing the curve more now to allow more in-person screenings in the near future would be a better idea than opening up bars and restaurants to flood the medical infrastructure with Covid again. Then again, I’m not very good at Babouing.
I'm fine with things starting to open up, yes. Especially with all the data that has come out about how this virus works. And it's all related. I'd actually like discussing it if people can stay calm. People ITT are screaming about people dying from someone getting groceries and being unjustly terrified of leaving the house, but we can't talk about potentially millions dying because of the lockdowns?
You do realize having less people contract covid would have a proportionally relevant effect on these numbers coming down as well, right?
What I really want to talk about is the millions of unpaid parking tickets on a yearly basis that cripples the U.S. economy. Does anyone ever bring that up????
literally no one said this we said it was stupid as fuck to go to a waffle house right now that’s what the entire argument was, and you argued for it. don’t try to twist the narrative
Given everything we know about the virus, no I don't think it's stupid as fuck for someone to get dinner. Are you concerned if you got dinner at somewhere following capacity rules, that something bad would happen to you? Or are you concerned with hurting someone?
should i just quote my posts from a few days ago so we don’t rehash the entire conversation again or what
Unless it’s already been rampant down here you are going to see a massive spike in a week or two. Sounds like bars might be allowed to open 5/18 with a limit on capacity as well as gyms. Rumor is they want everything at least happen for Memorial Day weekend
Breweries here that serve food are open. As crazy as it is, I might go one night next week for a beer or two. Legitimately going insane. I'll probably chicken out last minute though
they managed to get around the closures here and they’re doing classes outside at one down the street from me
i was on a conference call for work today and we agreed to send all the crazy assholes in the US to oklahoma and let them live in a lawless society i think we can all agree on that as well
Could you elaborate on the “everything we know” about this virus part and how it correlates to getting dinner at a restaurant or hanging out at a bar?
I had a classmate suggest this was a good idea in 10th grade...except he said black people and North Dakota.
i get it, you're a corona truther but you try to hide it to kind of nibble around the sides of trutherism since the physicians and scientists in here would give you shit for it carry on
if people just kept their beliefs 100% on front street and dealt with the flak these discussions would go a lot smoother
Yes, big time psycho, you just know that he has his “I’m not in the hall of fame because I’m a conservative” excuse ready to go.
I always knew he was crazy, but he's off the charts Yeah. I probably will chicken out. We've been getting curbside grocery pickup, but wife wanted some things from trader joes. Took me a solid 10 minutes to get myself psyched up enough to go inside the other day
