Pretty much saying ignore the data and evidence and just use the drugs. You can deal with the consequences later.
I'm not sure waiting for a vaccine is feasible at this point, even for schools/colleges. Like the article posted above suggested, 18+ months to develop and then more time to produce and distribute to the whole population. I really don't think doing all school/college online for 2 years is going to happen.
Republicans trying to deflect blame to Obama and other administrations and Dr. Bright shitting all over their dreams Hard for them to argue against everything being disbanded in 2017
Probably not. Just seems like a disaster to have college kids on campus. How do you keep dorms, cafe's, lecture halls clean? You also would have to limit class sizes, probably increase the amount of classes the professors teach.
Auburn's president in an admissions video posted last night: "We're going to open classes this fall. We're going to have fraternity and sorority activities. We're going to have more than 500 club activities that will be underway with student participation and leadership. We're going to have freshman convocation. We're going to have Popsicles and pizza with the president. We're going to have football this fall. We're going to have all of the activities we have every fall. The only thing that will be different is that you will be here this fall, and we're looking forward to having you."
One time I boozed so hard, smoked so many grits, and slept so little one weekend at OU that my immune system almost disappeared and shingles emerged from my body like a 72 year old. Still have this scar from when I tried treating it myself, but I was (still am) an idiot. I just tell people it’s a chemical burn. Sounds cooler:
Right, obviously it's not going to be perfect and adjustments will have to be made. I think it's reasonable to universities to be working toward in person classes in the fall though.
I feel the biggest problem is people think it is "safe" to reopen. Sure we have slowed the spread, but the risk of getting the virus isn't any less than it was 2 months ago. As we re-open it needs to be clear that we are doing it for economic purposes and because people just can't deal with it anymore. Everyone should adopt mask usage as much as possible and still social distance when possible.
it would go so far for opening things up safely and more quickly if president dipshit would just wear a mask. but he’s too much of a vain and brain dead idiot
Forsyth county (Winston-Salem, NC) had 50 new cases Tuesday and yesterday. Reporting 60 new ones and 2 deaths already today.
you just said people will be mad that less people are dying because a stupid title is all that matters to you. you’re a deranged lunatic
If you take all of those cases and deaths out it changes everything drastically. I think NY Metro area is like 40% of total deaths and 30% of cases.
Someone must have told the Republicans that their over the top (and often wrong) shilling inadvertently (in their mind) has led to Bright making the administration look worse than he has done simply from the Democrats’ legit questions (which is my opinion at least) because they are now passing on/reserving their time and letting Democrats go back to back. It’s quite funny actually.
