People are constantly selling barely used sets on GolfWRX. eBay gets a lot of action too from what I’ve seen. Depending on how much you’re wanting to spend it could be worth it to wait until you’re able to get fit, granted the timing of that also depends a lot on your state
Gonna be interesting if they can get 18 in tomorrow. This weather sucks. Not supposed to be as bad tomorrow but still decent amount of storms
I've gotten used clubs from both and never had a problem. If you are looking for a cheap set I'd broaden your search and see what you can find a deal on.
It would be so very 2020 for the only sporting event in months that I care anything about to get rained out. This fucking year is the worst.
Yep. Obviously doesn’t have that same plastic like feel as other inserts but it does feel different than putters that are just one solid milled piece
I enjoy pointing out all the dumb things about Paige’s podcast and how she’s really craving the spotlight right now, but I’m also going to continue to enjoy when she posts stuff like this Spoiler
For sure. That doesn't change the fact he should do better. I've honestly never seen a pro just throw balls down to hit. Pattern that shit Matt
DistantFactor and others who’ve been to Bandon, starting to pencil out a budget for a trip. I’m getting ready to send out an interest email or text ( Jigga ) to friends and trying to give a realistic budget. Looks like there’s a daily flight from SFO which arrives at 2:15 so can maybe get one round in that afternoon. Here’s what I have for three nights at the resort: 700 for hotel (Double occupancy in a room, pure estimate) 1250 for golf (including caddy fee for one per foursome) Math on this number: april so 175*4 plus 166 (replay rate twice) plus 75 (Par 3 course) plus 300~ for caddy fees/tips. 500 for food/drinks (no idea how much food costs there and if you stay on the property most of the time)
Call them up and see what packages they are running since they don’t advertise anything online. April should still have stay and play packages available. For instance when I go in November it is $800 for three nights stay, 3 breakfast, 2 dinners and 3 rounds of golf. Caddy is $100 plus $20 per person in foursome, son$160 total per foursome. Caddies can be hit and miss so let me know if you want some recommendations. You don’t want to end up with Rodney blasting Metallica in his ear buds after another fight with his ex drinking mini bottles of booze on the course during your round at Trails.
On the food front, it’s not that expensive. You can eat at several places on site for $10-$20 a meal, more formal meals are $30-$60. Drinks aren’t cheap, during a particularly bad round me and one other guy racked up a $400 bar tab on manhattans in about 3 hours so budget accordingly.
Ok thanks I’ll call them tomorrow. How’s the food budget look? DistantFactor edit: disregard I see your other post sorry
Also stay on property, there isn’t anything else like it. They have buses to take you where ever you need to go so all you need to worry about is golf and drinking.
I posted above, not sure how much you like drinking but food isn’t that bad. Drinks can get pricey which is the major variable.
Food menus are online too so you can get an idea on cost. Hangout at Mckees or one of the clubhouses on the courses for cheaper but awesome food. Get the meatloaf
This sounds too specific to not be referring to an experience you’ve had. I’d love so recommendations for a caddie that my friend and I plan on sharing
Because in a single round of golf, any of these guys is just as likely to shoot 61 on any given day. Especially in a fairly casual setting.
I put money on Fowler/Wolff and it's based on skins money won. Excludes any extra money (i.e. birdies, eagles, etc.)
Also no wind. So damp course, hot as fuck so the ball will travel forever, not long. These guys are gonna go low so place bets on as many birdies as possible
Seminole looks incredible. Need more telecasts of matches on these types of highly ranked courses that the public never gets to see.
