Is that pretty close to the national average? If the powers that be are going to try to have sports they can’t shut it down over a few positives. What they have to do is make sure people aren’t getting sick during the games
“some old people have to die and kids possibly suffer long term health issues because a liverpool title is what really matters”
Watching the bindesliga made me uncomfortable the goal celebrations where they had to touch elbows made no sense when everyone is running into each other and then leaving the pitch and putting on a mask immediately if you have to do that it shows to me that they shouldn’t be playing
Far from ideal, but That’s really not asking a lot. If that’s what it takes to finish a season that needs to be finished, play on.
Then not being able to shower or change at the stadium and having to drive home in their kit after playing is asking a bit thought
Nothing Andy posted that 6 players were positive and then said he couldn't wait to see what my spin was.
England would have ~a handful more if they tested the same number on the first wave as Germany. They also have nowhere near the structure for this as Germany has, and the league wants to resume 11 on 11 training in two weeks. I'd say those numbers are great for the idea of starting matches in <month
England would have 14, Germany had 10. Germany did their testing 2 weeks before the first game, the earliest England has talked about returning is 4 weeks from now.
My point is England as a whole isn't set up like Germany in regards to COVID response. Premier League/clubs paying for tests isn't what I was saying.
I stopped paying attention to all the will they or won’t they play news. The league sort out what happens to a team with a positive once they restart?
most people itt don’t think a sport should come before human lives. unfortunately liverpool fans seem to disagree with that hot take
They aren’t mutually exclusive. The kind of testing and precautions involved here is top notch. Far better than it is in the lives you and I live.
I think you can’t cancel all sports because of a positive test. That’s just not realistic. If that’s the standard I’m not sure we will ever have sports again
If they're legit quarantined and able to test like Germany then I think it's a good sign. My understanding is that neither of those are happening though.
Germany didn’t do their first mass testing until 2 weeks before they started playing games. The EPL is proposing a 14 day quarantine before matches start but that hasn’t been approved yet. Germany did 7 day
Are you implying he doesn’t have fears about restarting play and this is because he doesn’t plan to return to Chelsea?
apologies. i am a tired man and wish pool fans would just say what they truly mean instead of insulting our intelligence with this foolishness. i would at least respect it
I think that’s quite a stretch. #Chelsea you guys expecting to sell him? His contract is for 3 more years right? I will however take you up on the offer. Let’s set a time and date over PM
Regardless of what his reasoning is it would suck to be a Chelsea fan and watch the best defensive midfielder in the world get played out of position and run off so B Team Busquets can get overrun in midfield while passing sideways.
His brother and dad died of heart issues and he had a scare not too many years ago (https://weaintgotnohistory.sbnation...t-from-chelseas-match-against-manchester-city) . Whole club seems to be behind him sitting out and frankly, him taking the year off would probably be good in the long run. He's played a fuck ton of games in the last 3-4 years. That said, he's almost 30, if Madrid or someone else came in with a monster offer I'd listen. All indications are that he's 100% good w/ where he's at and has no interest in moving.
