What is everyone’s “strategy” when playing? I play with a few different friend groups and everyone plays so differently Favorite contract? Favorite area? Middle circle and camp or constantly push teams?
In groups, we usually go for a Scavenger early so we can grab our loadouts (and midgame if we need cash for buybacks). That guaranteed cash plus the contract bonus is better than just looting. We'll then try and grab a Recon or two to have a sense directionally of where we should go. Later in the game, we'll pop Bounties. I don't really bother with Recons in solos much and I often wouldn't chase a bounty kill, though I grab them for a location on someone. My favorite looting area is Storage Town, and I'll then loot the pool, the firehouse, and either head to the houses/graveyard or the gas station on the way to Superstore. Recently, I'm trying to find a Scavenger or something that's isolated from populated areas because I hate fighting before I have good guns and Storage Town is pretty contested. I don't really understand TV Station, Airport, Train Station, or Hospital - I get lost in all of those places - so I avoid them when possible. My group likes to get inside the circle and play pretty safe (though we may land on the edge). As a solo, I like to play the edge more and hunt people running to the circle. My K/D is 0.98... pretty garbage. I have a ton of games where I die with a pistol on dropping and just quit out, though. I just registered for the tracking site and I have 8 wins and 32 top 5s (~10% of total matches). I usually either die really early or finish ~top 25.
My usual strategy is to drop in a random spot with no plan and then run around aimlessly until I get killed.
17 kill game today and didn’t even finish Top 5 I don’t think. Our strategy is completely different in trios and quads. Trios: jump into a pretty hot area like “hot town” - business park south of TV station, adjacent to the neighborhood. The bank almost always has ~$4-5K in it. Pub and Warehouse both have tons of guns and ammo. Drop one person in each of those buildings. Always have enough for loadout at buy station that’s either there, the adjacent neighborhood or the TV station. gets the juices flowing instead of remote drop where you play 3-5min without seeing anyone. After a few times your team will be real familiar with the building layout and be able to backup/callouts very quickly. (Red roof, warehouse, ihop, bank, green). can also check where bounties around that spot are to know where to expect people from if you’re tracked, there’s almost always 1-2 between those three areas. If you don’t get hunted or encounter a 2-3 squad fight, grab loadouts and snag a bounty and/or UAV. Once you’re used to the buildings you can get a loadout well before most teams do so hunting people without ghost is super easy. And you’re always in the zone so never have to worry about gas or recons. Just hunt people Quads- prob drop in Military, Hills, southwest corner of Bone warehouse, or the street that runs down east side from the Dam. Find a scavenger in one of those areas and drop. really don’t do many recons unless they’re close by and we have nothing else to do or we need to know what side of a river/ditch we need to be on around circle 3-4.
Dual DEagles fuck FYI. Decided to try them after the Renetti nerf. akimbo, 5mw laser, long AF barrel, 13rd mag, lightweight trigger. Close range 3 shots total to down someone so if you can alternate LT RT it’s stupid fast. Under 3 plates and they go down on the initial 2-pop. I do amped perk and switch to them anytime around a corner or inside a house. It’s real fun
Drop into a boundary area or mil base. I really prefer the mil base/quarry/lumber side of the map. Loot. Try and get a scav or recon. If the circle is slanted to a boundary for the finish, use a vehicle to flip the map and try to get to high ground on that boundary. More focused on pushing and controlling area than teams. It’s pretty hard to push teams multiple times in a game with randos, mostly because if they were any good they wouldn’t be playing randomly with me. If circle is finishing in one of the denser areas, like downtown, I’m playing for a top 10 because I’m nowhere near good enough to win 2-3-4 gunfights in close succession. Trying to stay on the edge of the circle and catch people who are paying attention to something else.
Finding a good spot and camping the last 3-4 circles to win isn’t as fun to me anymore. Used to play for wins and now just play for kills and it’s more fun personally. I’ll play the circle camp game in solos and push/hunt teams in trios or quads
I have the gold DE duals and love them. I still use the Renetti as it’s still incredibly overpowered. Went on a rampage with it in hard hat and I haven’t even played the game in a few weeks. Love the button masher 1911 as well. I only play with pistols in multiplayer and will finish first or second on my team with them. If I get pistols in the gulag the other player has to get lucky. Renetti still felt like it was getting a 2-3 shot kill.
Also with the dual DE’s I’ll pull the trigger on both at the same time or as close to it as possible and have gotten a lot of “1” shot kills
1st loadout - cold blooded, ghost, amped M13: Corvus barrel, monolithic, tac laser, 60rd Mag, 4.0x Flip scope DEagle mentioned above if I have one of the 3 MP7 loot guns I’ll swap that for my secondary, if not I’ll get that one and get this one if we have a 2nd that is convenient MP7: monolithic, striker (whichever is longest) barrel, mini reflex, 60rd mag, no stock always run heartbeat and C4
Loved the M13 during the beta, best overall AR. Then the game dropped and it was useless and by the time they nerfed it, I had moved on to the Grau and Kilo. But now....now I’m all over it. Don’t know what happened but it’s pretty damn good.
They nerfed the M4 sometime before WZ/Grau and gave M13 a headshot multiplier bump: 1.8x dmg vs 1.4-1.5 for all other ARs. According to data testing the M13 is best AR if you have better aim and Grau is best for torso shooters. M13 also has a good recoil pattern I love. Mostly vertical with much less left/right bounce than M4 and Grau. But overall Grau has the least recoil. Really can’t go wrong with any of the three all comes down to preference
Felt the same for about a week but I rocked it last night. Won a solo and finished 2nd (trios) and 3rd (quads) in about two hours of games. I'm messing around with an Oden loadup and i like it a lot.
I don’t play Warzone but I love the Grau and it’s my highest kill weapon in the game. I rarely saw it used in multiplayer but now.....now it’s everywhere.
Don’t feel bad, I am so pathetic I am treating this like my golf game, blaming my equipment over my sucky ability. I just ordered a new controller since mine is from 3-4 years ago like I would a new driver.
my controller's right stick moves the map target to the right a little bit. controller is only a couple of months old and somehow i broke it. i don't think it actually affects me in game much but it's frustrating. also, duos is fun. i really struggle in quads and even trios is tough. but i can kill two people. finished 1st and 2nd in back-to-back games with my brother earlier and he required coaching pretty much the entire time.
Mine moves it up so if I let off of the right stick i start point towards the sky. It’s why I haven’t been playing much. Ordered a new one and just sticking to games that don’t require hitting precise targets.
Did 2 of them. However, bunker 11 takes a ridiculous amount of time, you can only do it in plunder from what I’ve seen
been in ~10 bunkers. All regular red key bunkers. I've never gone in one before I had a loadout, but most of the time it's after looting an area to get decent guns. I'd say: 6 times the only thing I gained in the bunker was money and a kill streak 1-2 times I picked up an upgraded 2nd weapon from what I entered with 2-3 times someone saw us and ambushed us at the entrance and wiped our team I've probably picked up a red card in the first 3 minutes of the game and haven't told my team ~5 times because I don't have any interest in going to the bunkers anymore.
It doesnt seem like the Bunkers are really worth the trouble. If you play it smart, you can get enough money early on to buy almost anything you want, even a loadout drop. Once my group has all of our guns and each has a kill streak of some form, money doesnt really matter.
Can we make a TMB regiment? How does that work. Would be dope to just drop in and see who is online and whatnot
