I’ve been spoiled in what is perhaps a minor detail and that has been from me unfollowing druckman, mazin, ND, kotaku etc. That detail is gonna be a huge reason why everyone has to stay away from socials if they want this game to be pure and once it comes up in game you will know why the spoilerverse is so heavy wrt TLOU2

I asked the publications editor about getting a review code for Part 2, his Sony contact told him that they had already distributed their codes but that they expected to get more before launch, and we would be on the list.
So I may get a code and be able to play it before launch.

 

It's pretty wild, and disgusting, watching a company like ND get devoured by the woke-brigade.
I can't think of a more progressive environment than what they have out there, a woman co-wrote the game, etc.

 

Honestly I just checked this thread to mention how I started my replay of TLOU and the story is just as gripping as the first time.

But now I'm curious as to what youre getting at here. Is it possible to explain without spoilers?

 

Don’t have a ps4. Need to play this game. Debating on waiting for ps5 for Christmas or just saying fuck it and getting it for this game. And Spider-Man

 

No doubt about the first one, such an amazing story, i've played three times and always on the edge of my seat.

I'm just referencing how people ripped up ND over the story spoilers, and you've got people in games journalism tearing them up about crunch and all this other crap.
I'm not white-knighting for ND, as I'm sure they have things that aren't great too, but it seems people are piling on them and the left-leaning folks in the media often lead the charge.
But if you look at them and their political stances, the makeup of their studio, it couldn't be a more perfect place for what all the woke people say they want everyone to be.

Making the main character LGBTQ, which you’ll know since you’ve already played the first game. Apparently people glossed over that entire story point and have been extremely vocal about the kiss with Dina since that trailer aired at E3.

Now they’re up in arms about a female character from a fairly old trailer being too muscular and claiming it means she’s trans and that’s just too much for their peanut brains.

True. I'm sure somewhere, someone is outraged because the character isn't black.
If there's nothing to be outraged about, people will create something.

but don’t know how close I was to finishing. I rented it at redbox and played for like 3 days straight. I may just cheat and watch a YouTube of the story. My wife got me the last of us PS controller for my birthday

 

yikes, yeah you've got no time for sure. You've still got about 3 or 4 hours of gaming to do from the point where you stopped before, if you jumped back to that.
That controller is badass, nice work by the wife.

 

Has there been a blockbuster game with the titular character being black? I honestly can’t remember off the top of my head.

Outside of San Andreas, you’d have to look at fighting games where you could play a black character or rpg’s where you could create a black character.

my last run i got halfway into an all collectibles run om grounded before my hdd died. currently doing grounded without looking for collectibles

 

I’m running out of time to finish my replay. I got about 5 hours in and got sidetracked by Days Gone, which is taking admittedly much longer than I’d anticipated. I might just settle for a recap to avoid the zombie fatigue.

I mean, I guess if you think that a story-driven game would kill off its main character by having him unceremoniously fall off a horse and not have some sort of send-off and then immediately stopped playing the game. I thought he might have been thinking about a different game. Or a different character. And I refuse to use spoilers when talking about a 7 year-old game in the thread dedicated to its sequel.

 

Yeah I don’t care if anyone says anything about it in non-spoilers. I’m playing it now to get used to the gameplay and mechanics again it there’s no way I make it through the story unless I just plug away and don’t buy it right when it’s released. Kid is using his boppy pillow thing so I figured out I can play and just have him on the coffee table on it. This is the first day it’s just been us with him so been having to deal with parents and in-laws

 

ok. Relax. I only played the game once when it first came out and I didn't remember the detail. I just recalled a scene where something happens and then you are Ellie and aren't exactly sure of Joel's condition.

And the spoiler was just for the sake of.someone saying they were playing the game for the first time. Everybody Calm down.
