Watching OANN feels like you're watching exactly that or a really well done parody of a news channel. It even feels like the people on screen are kinda in on it and the audience is the butt of the joke. The more I think about it the truer that probably is.
Will someone smarter than me explain why it is not federal law that each district has at least X number of voting machines available tied to the population? I know the reasons we don't have that many machines (voter suppression) but is there a reason why we don't have a federal law tied to that (other than leadership totally letting us down)?
Growing up in a small town in Ohio there was always at least 30 machines in my district and probably half weren't occupied. For an area like Atlanta to have five machines in a location is fucking bonkers
They will have “information” that has no basis in fact. Had they claimed “evidence” then I might be interested.
Eh, they’re functionally the same at this point. It’s like the difference between a group of conspiracy theorists that believe that an international group of Jewish elites faked the moon landing and killed JFK versus a group that believes the same but also these Jewish elite are reptilian shape shifters.
Democrats need to encourage early voting in November, especially in these highly suppressed areas. Don't give these motherfuckers an inch of space to do something dubious.
I raised this issue a couple months ago around Super Tuesday and don’t know the answer. In the early 1960’s, the US Supreme Court articulated a “one man, one vote” standard for legislative districts. In that case, Tennessee had refused to adjust the geographical boundaries of its districts despite population shifts. The Court held that all districts must be proportional. You can gerrymander them, but every district has to have the same population. I don’t know any rationale that would make polling locations and voting equipment any different than this rule.
Its going to be an epic shitshow. Will make today look like childs play. Both Senate seats will likely be January runoffs. Dark Money flooding the state. No clue what condition Orange Moussilini will be in by that point.
standing outside the polls "to make sure there is no voter fraud." I believe a friend of mine from HS took these pictures.
Upon revisiting this post I’d def kick it with you and Bud irl at a spot like agave or argosy despite how much you both hate me on this board
Probably requires an amendment or a very friendly Supreme Court to get it fixed. So it isn’t going to happen nationally for a while.
this was my favorite one from the morning its going to take them weeks to count all the mailed-in ballots too. That they probably will say f-it and never actually count.
