The only trade I did today was getting my ass out of bullshit-ass SMRT I'm just watchin my red stocks cc: Fusiontegra
Put in an order for $500 worth of VTSAX here at the end. I'm going to buy on the way down if we keep moving down.
Yeah, I'm between 65-70% in US indexes between S&P, mid, small and total stock. My best long term stock holding today was IEMG at -5.3%.
I'm not going to touch it for years so it's not that big of a deal, it just is not enjoyable. I decided to do 75% VTSAX, 15% this thread, 10% cash. At least the Cash broke even today
i've officially entered the robinhood world to become a degenerate used up all 3 day trades already playing around with options day trader limits is bulllllshit
Holding 300 was a good sign, but the Vix keeps rising as does the VVIX which means more chop ahead for the next couple weeks
think i'm actually just going to move my wealthfront account to thinkorswim and replicate the spread. i'm comfortable enough doing it all manually at this point for what they do.
Maybe? I have no idea. Trying to find the narrative has proven to be a futile attempt thus far. Institutional money staying in seems like enough math to provide some type of a floor though
but for real stocks are dumb time to ignore my large account and just fiddle with robinhood play money so i dont do anything dumb for money i don't need for 30 years moneys fake anyways
Just read the white paper written by the creators of the Dark Index. Pretty interesting. https://squeezemetrics.com/monitor/download/pdf/short_is_long.pdf?
Is this thread about to lose half its posters like the reddit subs? https://www.newyorkfed.org/markets/...ities/treasury-securities-operational-details Fun story: I somehow was GREEN this morning at open. Looked at shit dropping all night and dreaded morning. Actually woke up in the middle of the night and checked and futures were down even more. Woke up 30 minutes before open; somehow almost no volume had traded in PEP. Like 20k volume. This is a heavily traded stock. It ballooned up a full $1 at open and put my calls in the green by $4 a contract. It then immediately nosedived with everything else for the rest of the day. By day's end the contracts were worth $5 each.
And just to make anyone that lost money feel better, my RTX calls are a smoldering pile of worthlessness right now.
True, I suppose the TMB age range is a bit higher than reddit. We can take more blows but dear god not many more like today plz
Pulled most everything i had out yesterday, looking forward to blindly making some moves if theres a dip
Same I pulled out of everything earlier today except for some AUG Calls. will get back in if there is a dip but I have no feel for what’s going to happen right now.
Lots of securities fraud and insider trading going on right now. A lot of regular folks are gonna get their comeuppance in the next year.
I like that one that was +9.29 the next day. I'm thinking more like +13 though. EDIT: Oh, that one just happened this March. Nice.
lol re read my post, I said get back to even. Most of what I’m holding I bought in the high 17s/share right before this rally happened...then I added a little bit this morning to bring my average cost to like 15.90/share...so yes I could have sold today and taken a smaller loss, but I basically already counted this money out and will ride it out. I still think there’s one more big dip left in the tank.
No option. Just own the ETF shares so can ride this as long as I want. The last few weeks I had debating just selling and taking an L...but now I’ll hold on. Even if we can get half of the dip in March I’ll sell probably. I’m one of those bored gamblers described in the tweet above.
