I mean they will have to spend just to replace guys leaving. Going to have a few guys leaving this offseason in the likes of Sane and Silva already, I would guess Stones, Otamendi, Cancelo look to be a risk of going out as well. I see them buying a starting level CB, a fullback if Cancelo is on way out, and possibly a striker. Jesus doesn't seem to be the goal scoring threat they were hoping to be. I know Inter are looking at him too, so he may be out to be replaced. A lot depends on the appeal I would assume.

But his original point isn't wrong. City had trouble winning close road games this year. I believe after this game, despite being 20 points behind, City actually have the best GD in the league.

where is Stones going?

 

There are rumblings Newcastle has him as a target and he hasn't exactly taken over a starting spot at City (at times because of injuries). I could for sure see him being sold to fund a move for an upgrade to start next to Laporte. I'd think one of Stones or Otamendi are on way out if not both. Otamendi is probably more likely but wouldn't rule out Stones either

 

I think he may have been asking more of who would possibly be buying a Stones
