Rogers and Bentonville in NW Ark now require face masks in public after city counsel votes tonight. I’m honestly shocked.
India 2020 population is estimated at 1,380,004,385 people So like approximately 1/24th per capita deaths of the US?
Daughter woke up yesterday with a high fever took her to get tested but up to a week on the results. Thankfully she asked for some water at 4am this morning but seemed to be doing better.
I'm old enough to remember Pete Davidson having to apologize to patchy for making a joke. Can't wait for all the troop loving outrage over this one.
This is going to get interesting. Miami seems to be the first major city in one of the new coronavirus hotspots (FL, AZ, TX) to try to take things back a bit and get closer to a lockdown. The other interesting aspect of this is that they are asking for data from Desantis to support this. Desantis has been hiding data the entire time. People now want that data for the opposite reason. Something tells me that if that data became public, it would not be good for the restaurant owners who want to keep insides of restaurants open.
Melbourne locking down for six weeks because of like 200 new cases in Victoria Meanwhile we have states with 10K new cases doing jack shit Incredible
Three months from now: People are trying to figure out how a company with ties to Jared Kushner was paid billions for a vaccine they never brought to market.
That makes me feel a little better. I assumed this was a newly formed Delaware LLC registered to a regis office room
Do you ever stop and really think about how disjointed your view of reality has to be to support Trump? He's bragging about how well he's doing and people are waiting days for a simple ass test.
been around for a long long time. which shouldn't make you feel better. Team: CEO is a slime ball. Has pushed out good people in the past. Recently they took funding from highly credible investors who I think will reshape the team. There are some on the team I really like though. Science: They've been kind of shady with how they've described some of the work for their RSV vaccine, in my opinion misrepresenting some things Manufacturing: world class manufacturing platform. i was incredibly impressed with what they had built.
none of his supporters live in cities from what I can tell. Because in cities you have minority groups and that's where all the suffering and government-induced chaos seems to be
Fuck me. I bought 110 shares of Novavax on 8/9/2019 @ $1.19 per share. It's now ~$104 a share. Last year when I was changing over my Fidelity accounts, they rolled one account into another. I didn't know they would sell off what I owned, nor did my advisor tell me that. I think about it alot. /not important at all right now
The main issue is how do you get that information to people? Do people who really only work, use Facebook, watch non-news TV see that? Some will use Facebook anyway to talk to friends, click some links and feel read up. Unfortunately all of those links are alt-right conspiracy theories because that’s what trends as a top story on Facebook everyday. Facebook has allowed the anti-vax and Covid disinformation campaigns to go unchecked. It’s a major problem. people used to pay for the newspaper because that was the only way to get news. Now that log onto Facebook and think they got the news. Unfortunately they didn’t.
Yeah I think the key is realizing they are lost and making sure they stay the minority. They are mostly unreachable, and worse, unwilling to waver on their loyalty. They also get their group think from like minded social media sites even though they originate from Russian or Middle East data farms. They are too stupid to be fixed. The only answer is to keep them outflanked in terms of voters.
just $100k between friends right? should i think about the stock options i would have had if I joined?
In the short term, for this election, yes I agree with you. I would like to be able to find a way to reform and deradicalize large groups of people who Facebook have ruined and not allow it to happen to more people in the future. Even if they stay a minority, it’s an incredible dangerous minority that will likely act out violently if trump losing this election.
There is an Instagram thread going on in Columbus with all service industry people posting anonymous messages about whats going on at bars and restaurants, paints a pretty grim picture. Service industry is getting rocked, one bar had 6+ staff test positive this past weekend and they stayed open. Pretty much no closures despite positive tests, management is just hiding the results from the public. Shits going to spread like wildfire here in the next two weeks
That's our new normal. No one wants to say it but they are pushing towards herd immunity, which is scary AF.
I also don't think it is unreasonable to think that they are getting infected while at work in a crowded bar.
Just got my second test taken w my wife. She was like omg that was horrible. The first swab was so gentle. It barely went in.... so her first was likely a false negative as she’s had way more symptoms than me. test took 5 minutes this time. Mostly because I showed up an hour after they opened.
Question for you. Unrelated to this post. But what is the accuracy on false positives for same day test. Having an argument with my wife as she refuses to believe my dad has Covid even with every hallmark symptom and a positive same day test.
Local bar here that was one of the ones saying “fuck it” and not really enforcing social distancing announced they were closing for a couple of random days bc of a local spike in COVID but now are open like nothing happened despite my metro area now leading the state in growing cases. Basically they likely had an employee(s) test positive and didn’t want to admit it
