You ever play at Brickyard? I moved back to Macon recently and am starting research on a place to join.
I wore these for a while, but after a couple rounds it always seemed like the Velcro wouldn’t hold anymore. Been a while since I’ve bought one though. Just been getting titleist gloves as needed.
I’m at the range right now. Figuring out the new irons. Guy behind me has almost literally hit it up my ass 4 times. I’m definitely guilty of bad swings like that myself, but slow it down.
I haven't yet but by all accounts it's a good course and kept up well. Definitely seems to be the best bang for your buck. No initiation and only like $250/month.
A twin-engine plane crashed at the Honors Course in Ooltewah on the Fourth of July. But almost no one knew about it or would discuss it afterward. There was no news coverage. Photos and video taken by passersby show the plane with one wing in the water. It appears the wing is crumpled and the pontoons are bent under the fuselage. The plane was apparently quickly removed from the site. Those living in the Savannah Bay area say the plane is owned by EMJ Corporation official James H. "Jay" Jolley and that he flies it often around the bay. Mr. Jolley did not return a phone call.
Looking on GHIN Jolley is a member at the club. One of our caddies last week was talking about a member who flies over the course all the time and if Lupton was still alive he'd be kicked out of the club. A week later this happens.
Played the Ocean Course (all the Kiawah courses sans Cassique) last week of June for the first time. Was an awesome time- everything is in great shape and Ocean course was a grind but so much fun. Played the first tee time off on Saturday felt like we had the entire place to ourselves... talking with Caddies and they said 4:30 is the best tee time hands down. Two putt par on 17 (shot a 92 from the Dye tee's I suck). Caddie is well worth the money if you are playing multiple courses out there skip Cougar and play somethings else twice. All of the pro shops were closed had to go to the Sanctuary to shop but they had a good selection.
Shot an 83 today with 36 putts, 8 fairways hit, and 9 GIRs. Lipped our 4 birdie putts inside 10 feet. It was a frustrating day.
No I haven't. I did see a funny picture of a board room and Lupton's face was photo shopped on all 12 guys.
Morikawa almost aced four. Hit the pin, left with a foot-long birdie putt. That’s a kick in the ding ding.
Jt abouts to be out of contention and having to sadly play rest of round watching the leaders. Pretty epic meltdown.
Took a lesson at Bobby Jones here in atlanta today. Someone was asking about recommendations and this dude (Jason K)was fantastic https://www.bobbyjonesgc.com/meet-the-team/
Morikowa should have had a hole in one on 4, hit it to a foot for eagle on 5. JT is down 3 to him and Hovland.
Question for you guys— Just bought a new set of Callaway Mavriks (4-AW) last week and they are incredible. So solid/forgiving and super long. Turns out that the PW is 41° and the AW is 46°, so I’m going to need a gap wedge which I do not have at the moment. Any recommendations on a solid 52°? Looking at either a mack daddy or vokey, but open to other suggestions
So is the only way to watch the rest of this tournament on PGA tour live? Having to pay to watch the conclusion of the tournament is so dumb.
cbssports live stream is what you want. PGA Tour live is only showing feature holes i think. such a shit show
I have Cleveland CBX 52 and 56 and they're great. Definitely a more forgiving club and more in line with my TM Sim Max irons than a standard blade would be
Definitely recommend CBX/CBX 2 for that 50 degree fill in. You will not hit a vokey near as far when you are trying to rip from the fairway. Vokeys are great around the greens.
I have a vokey 56° that I love around the green, but am definitely looking for something to hit out of the fairway. Thanks for the recommendation
Last thing. Do you think the gap between 46 and 52 is too much? I’ve always heard that the rule of thumb is 4-5 degrees
