They won’t admit that POTUS and the WH defined the boundaries and conditions of what he could say. They will definitely attempt to villainize him as the reason POTUS didn’t do anything early (and of course POTUS will continue to claim his response was outstanding).
We didn't follow any of the advice of the smartest guy in the room because he misspoke once is peak GOP.
If all the MAGAs started wearing masks today, it will save thousands of lives, right? WRONG! In two weeks they will all say ‘Hey look! The case numbers and deaths are still increasing. The Libs and scientists were wrong. I’m taking my mask off NOW and I’ll never wear it again.’
People always talk about how loathsome Devos is, but everyone forgets she is one of the biggest idiots going. Just a gobsmacking moron
The AAP providing cover for the Trump admin has got to be one of the stupidest things I’ve ever seen supposedly smart people do.
Any school ( and pretty much all buildings ) built after 1975 was built to conserve energy, an important aspect of which is poor air flow.
Have always considered “died in a shitty dive bar while watching Great White due to a fire caused by cheesy pyrotechnics” as one of the all time most embarrassing causes of death
im digging through some of the data and this looks like a massive data dump. Almost double the highest testing days from the last few weeks. 4 times what was done some of the days. So Positivity Rate is down but cases up. Makes you wonder why so much is getting dumped in one day. Its not all counties. Hillsborough (Tampa) didnt see a massive increase in testing. Orlando reported 3-5 times as many tests as any other single day in the last few weeks. So did Lee county (SW FL). Miami-Dade reporting double the tests in any one day. All of those with major increased testing saw lower % positive. I would love to know where those numbers are coming from. Did the state go in and randomly test some places where people werent asking for a test at some point? Was a certain lab delayed and dumped all of this? When are these tests from? The release of the numbers was also about an hour later than normal. Bizarre.
Maybe they reached out to OneBlood and are adding all the antibody tests even if people didn’t request?
it looks like they have been separating that. Was some debate originally but that number is just the general tests. We don’t know why Florida has such a giant variation in reported tests per day.
I always imagined they just played Once Bitten, Twice Shy like eight times, mixed with Motley Crue and Poison covers.
What’s the best way to handle this (other than not being psycho)? “I messed up. I was having a shitty day and I acted crazy on someone for a dumb reason. I’m ashamed of myself and embarrassed. Please give me the opportunity to show everyone that this 15 seconds isn’t me.”
Would testing of the NBA and MLS players, staff and organizational people account for some of Orlando’s increase?
it could account for the increase in testing. It could also account for the increase in negatives only. We use all tests run but only report positives if it is a Florida resident. So unless the athlete considers Florida home, their test counts as a total test but it won’t count as a positive either way. the fact that the same lab that is 12-24 hour turnaround for MLS is the lab taking 7-14 days for symptomatic citizens of orlando to get their test results is an absolute disgrace.
All good points. I will hazard a prediction that few of the out of State positives will get reported by the home States.
