For the life of me I’ll never understand an election strategy that focuses on further radicalizing the base that’ll already vote in that direction instead of widening your appeal, knowing that your base isn’t leaving.
The NBA is easily the best run sports league in America, possibly in the world. The players have pretty much all the power, the coaches are fucking awesome(Kerr, Pop, Spoelstra, Doc, etc), and Stearn did a better job of exporting the sport than anyone involved in football, baseball, or hockey.
this is so dumb. I’m really glad that the NRA has defunded their own ability to really impact the election with infighting, greed and mismanagement of funds. They helped trump in 2016. He will need to get that help from somewhere else this time around.

This is just my opinion on that particular peculiarity and it probably isn’t valid, but here it is: Based on what I’ve seen since the July 4 address is the WH has chosen to go all in on framing the Election Day decision for white voters (across the age and gender spectrum) to be this- - - ‘If I vote for Biden I am most certainly voting to diminish my white privilege. Do I reeeaalllyyyy want to do that?’ It’s based on the political fact that Americans have almost always voted their pocket book in national elections. Which is the prioritization of self-interest. They envision a scenario in which white voters will respond to pre-election media and political polls as anti-Trump, but when it gets down to actually pulling the trigger they won’t have the intestinal fortitude to do so. So, we are already seeing on FB and in tv a mobilization of ads focusing on Defund the Police as being a Dem and far left effort aimed at making good citizens more vulnerable to ruthless attacks from mobs and violent people. We’re going to see a lot more of that.
The strategy involves inactivating or neutralizing opposing voters, like getting bernie voters to stay home or ~enlightened centrists~ to stick by their non-principles and protest vote Jill Stein or harambe, since trumps voters are dedicated enough to go out and die of plague to vote for him

Clearly racist, as was Nixon's strategy. Also clearly corrupt, like Nixon. Biggest difference is - Trump is the incumbent. Nixon was going to "fix" the country that LBJ had destroyed. Trump is campaigning on fixing the country that...he destroyed? It's the same issue he's having in these ads where he's warning about what America will look like under Biden, while featuring clips of America under Trump.
Lot easier to run that strategy as a challenger from the non-ruling party than as an incumbent, though.

I generally like rob. I like the message too. However I can’t shake 2016 when I saw him on real time a few times and Maher did his whole—I travel the country and trump has a chance bc there are a lot of angry ppl. And Reiner couldn’t have been more dismissive, laughing trump off entirely. Granted there are many people guilty of this. I just happen to remember Reiner.
One of the most expensive markets in the country. Forcing trump to spend there helps out big in swing states he should more realistically have to defend, rather than a red stalwart. Hopefully the narrowing doesn’t mean Biden is spending a shit ton there too.
