This is probably a dumb question but I don’t even remember how this works in normal times. If students wanna take a year off because online learning will suck and they’re missing the college experience, are they allowed to and the schools will let them come back next year? Or are they going to have to re-apply?
kids can take a leave of absence for a variety of reasons, I am sure schools would allow enrolled students to do so for Covid reasons. Generally to come back after a leave of absence you just have to fill out a simple form and notify the school of your intentions to come back to campus. Maybe at some stupid religious private school would you see pushback on a leave for covid reasons. Also at most schools incoming students can defer enrollment for just about any reasons and maintain a spot so long as they matriculate at the start of the next year. You see that with men's ice hockey kids all the time, graduate HS defer enrollment and go play on a team for a year before going to college
After discussing with my family and clergy, I have decided to continue waiting. I will not be taking questions at this time. Thank you.
Report that multiple #Clemson Tigers are planning on opting out, including Thomas. https://rubbingtherock.com/2020/08/06/clemson-football-report-xavier-thomas-others-opt/
whoa hold on in order for it to be slavery we’d have to have these kids be inadequately compensated for their work in exchange for room and board. And they’d have to be risking mortal danger and health risks just by doing the work. And if they dared speak up they could face worse consequences! Oh wait
Who is going to be the first coach to decide that it’s easier if he just dresses 60 kids each game so he can save a roster of people in case of an outbreak?
the Nashville and Dallas MLS teams are apparently planning on playing each other in the next couple weeks and with fans on hand
He's a top 10 pick without playing a snap. The risks far outweigh the reward of moving up higher. Stay isolated and go get paid. Sucks for us as fans of the Canes, but I 100% understand why he's making this call.
I can't imagine anyone in TN or TX would pay to go watch shitty soccer in normal times, let alone during a pandemic. But who knows?
good shit Big Sky Conference should be noted that over half of the full Big Sky members are based in ID, MT and UT. Not exactly hot beds of liberal movements right now from what I gather
someone on our board just said they're happy the notre dame game is after thanksgiving because "hopefully attendance capacity will be increased by then" what fucking planet do these people live on
I feel like a lot of these people have just never dealt with any kind of adversity and everything has just broken their brains.
They don't want to adapt to the new normal, because it's too much for them to handle. They'd rather pretend none of this is happening. They're literally fucking children hiding under the bed from the boogie man.
One of our recruiting writers the other day said visits would ramp up after November going into the early signing period.
