Not surprising that something with Peele’s name attached would be well done but I wasn’t expecting that
Didn’t know we had a thread. Really good. The James Baldwin speech during the first part of the trip was great editing
Honestly that episode kind of lost me right up until Omar emerged from the earth. Ended on a high note though
Lots of Lovecraft tie ins (obviously). I never read this particular book but I’m excited to see what other Lovecraft stories they pull from.
I saw a Rivals thread on this and it's funny how this thread the exact opposite reaction. "You are super woke, we get it!" "Stop beating me over the head!"
Each episode almost feels like it's only short film in ways. Also, I'm not into horror films at all, but I enjoy just how much of that feel Peele is giving us.
I’m enjoying the show. 1,3 and 2 so far are my favorites. Enjoyed all. The ending of 2 and 3 were great, but 1 had better pacing from start to finish for my taste
Lots of historical references in last night's show. The Emmett Till appearance was excellent. Who would've thought that I'd say this about a (kind of) horror show, but this is such an important show for the times.
It's incredible timing. The Chicago Historical Society just announced his childhood home is going to become a historical site
I didn’t think I’d like this very much. It’s not really my type of genre. Usually find horror lame and cheesy. Only gave it a chance because of Jordan Peele. Glad I did. Really like it. Smollett makes the show. Great acting.
so another really solid episode I do have one issue in that the editing choices made it feel a bit clunky cutting between different stories and them being shorter when they could've just stayed on one for longer and not gone back and forth so much
