if you haven't read this article, spend 5 min to do so. ND came out impressively in it and might be the reason we're watching football this fall https://www.si.com/.amp-michigan/co...onement-cancelation?__twitter_impression=true and to the Big10
This is interesting. A national guy was on XM today saying that if you want to know if football will be played watch ND. If we shut down and send kids home, cancelling the season, that the ACC shuts down with us and then the dominoes fall. Pretty funny that little independent ND is half way running the show.
I think I would be willing to sacrifice the season just so I could say “remember that time ND joined a conference for a month and then changed their mind and the whole sport got cancelled” every time there’s a ND is irrelevant argument.
Loy's least to most likely to end up in the class Spoiler There are currently 18 prospects committed to Notre Dame in the 2021 class. As of today, that group is listed as the No. 13 team in the country according to the 247Sports Composite Team Recruiting Rankings. The future of the Fighting Irish looks bright, but there is still room for a few more additions to this class. So, with that said, let’s take a look at the Top Targets remaining on the Notre Dame board and see who is most likely to land in South Bend with the Fighting Irish. There are seven targets still on the board, at least ones holding a Notre Dame offer. We will look at the group of targets and rank them from most likely to end up at Notre Dame — No. 1 — to least likely to end up at Notre Dame — No. 7. SLIDE1 of 7 No. 7 — Four-star running back Donovan Edwards Notre Dame has always been in play for Edwards, but I just can’t see this one working out. Whether people want to believe it or not, I think the all-in effort to land Will Shipley and not necessarily push hard for anyone else is hurting the Fighting Irish. Edwards is an elite talent and has been priority No. 1 for plenty of programs since day one. Michigan is likely the best bet as of today, but there are others vying for his services as well. If he were to pick Notre Dame, it would be a major, major upset and everyone should be calling Lance Taylor and Tommy Rees elite recruiters at that point. That would be one heck of a job on their end. SLIDE2 of 7 No. 6 — Five-star offensive tackle Nolan Rucci Notre Dame would love to pull off the upset here, but it would definitely be exactly that if he were to pick the Fighting Irish. Notre Dame is surely in play, but I do believe there is a significant gap between Wisconsin and everyone else. I’ve said it for a while, I think Notre Dame’s best shot is if he were to somehow get back on campus. SLIDE3 of 7 No. 5 — Four-star cornerback Ceyair Wright I like Stanford to land Wright as of today, but I have Notre Dame in his top group. Cornerbacks coach Mike Mickens and head coach Brian Kelly seem to be doing a really good job here, at least from what Wright has to say. It’ll be interesting to see how things play out. Smart money is on the Cardinal, but keep an eye on Notre Dame and USC as well. SLIDE4 of 7 No. 4 — Four-star receiver Dont’e Thornton I’ve said for a while that Notre Dame was in the Top 2 for Thornton along with Oregon. I felt strongly that the Ducks lead, as most others would from simply reading the tea leaves, but it should be noted that Arizona State is a dark horse as well. That said, the longer this goes, I think Notre Dame has a shot. Safe money is on the Ducks, but we’ll see how things go if Notre Dame shines on the field this fall. SLIDE5 of 7 No. 3 — Four-star receiver Deion Colzie There is surely a gap between this spot and the Top 2, but I do believe Notre Dame is very much in play for the one-time Fighting Irish commit. I’m not sure I ever saw myself potentially projecting Colzie back in Notre Dame’s class, but there is a very real possibility the Irish win this battle. I’m not ready to make that prediction, but the Irish are trending up. SLIDE6 of 7 No. 2 — Four-star safety Titus Mokiao-Atimalala Notre Dame has done really well in Hawaii and I believe that will continue with the talented two-way talent. USC, Washington, Michigan and a few others are very much in play here, but in the end, I believe he’ll see a chance to really shine in the Fighting Irish secondary. SLIDE7 of 7 No. 1 — Four-star receiver Jayden Thomas I think Notre Dame leads for the Atlanta (Ga.) Pace Academy prospect. I believe the biggest competition would be from Georgia, but until I’m told they are pushing as hard as the Irish, I don’t think Notre Dame fans should be concerned. The Irish staff has made him a priority for a long time and are doing a great job here.
It’s so bad I almost want to believe some of those posts are bots. Would absolutely love if the University would cross check those posting hideous shit with the ticket lists and revoke their seats.
Those shit heels don't have tickets. Unless the University can block them from buying cheap-assed Champion ND tees from northern Indiana Wal Marts, there's really no recourse.
if this means they are outplaying 2018 quality jafar armstrong this makes me very happy. If this means that 2019 jafar is what they are competing against this should be expected
South Florida is officially on this year's schedule, but it's part of a 2-for-1 series with future games in Tampa and South bend yet to be scheduled. Only way this makes sense to me is if the Tampa game is a shamrock series.... don't know why you would agree to a road game against USF.
Is this three star QB in 2022 we are getting CB's for a guy that will be rated higher later or are we just giving up for the year at the most important position?
Apologies for my negativity, but this feels like making the same mistake a second time and expecting different results.
honestly they are hoping the first round scared the fear of god into the students and behaviour will be better if i had to guess
I understand Notre Dame students are supposed to be “different”, but pretending they’re still not irresponsible college kids is an interesting stance.
They’ve ramped up some of their additional surveillance and testing, so the hope is they’re better prepared this time around. But yeah, they may be setting themselves up for failure part 2.
Having security guards keeping sick people in apartments off campus is not something I thought I’d see at ND, but hey, it’s 2020.
so fun having a podcast called the worst year ever, more or less named as a joke, about the year 2020, but how prophetic the name proved to be
Yeah and the school knew this going into the year. When they got sent home, our cheating rate was right at or slightly above the national average for the spring, so it was easy to see that they wouldn’t be any more responsible when they came back to campus. When you’re in college, you want to have that college experience. And especially when you’ve been told for months that “there’s almost no risk to you with this disease” it’s easy to decide that you want to party and have fun. It’s the wrong decision because you’re not thinking about anything other than yourself, but knowing how college students are, it was incredibly easy to see this happening.
Our fucking federal government is throwing maskless parties on prime time tv and we expect kids not to have fun? Hopefully stuff is straightened out and it works but I doubt it. little Niles is finishing her first week of K today and I’m just dreading daily the call that her school is shut down .
honestly i feel so fucking bad for y'all. Still dont know how the orange baboon got elected and still dont know how people take fox seriously when tucker carlson goes to bat for a 17 year old guy just shooting up protesters. My inlaws are hella religious (by dutch standards that is, so they go to church and believe most things that are being said in a service) so i do kinda know how people get sucked in, but Fox has so incredibly many moments where any sane person would still be: fuck yall, im out
Part of the problem is having this massive country. People who have never set foot in a big city are being told daily they are untenable war zones (and have been for years) so when this kid kills some people it’s seen as “normal” and for them he was doing it for the “right” reasons. I won’t even start on the clown in the Oval, I don’t want to upset Thoros of Beer as I know he’s a big fan.
Thoros is always upset, not much changes whether you slam the orange matroeshka doll or not. I dont even know rural areas like you have in the US anywhere in Europe. LIke i cant imagine much more than like 5% of dutch adults have never been to amsterdam for instance. The degree to which people feel different in the US feels so weird to me
