Strade bianche today. So damn good to see them back out there and awesome win for Wout. I was hoping for a Bettiol hometown win, but a 4th is pretty dam solid.

I was rooting for Wout of course also watched Remco seal his 3rd stage GC win. Going to be another great year for Belgian cyclists *crosses cyclists*

WVA wins his monument by edging Alaphilippe at the line at Milan San Remo

Evenepoel went on a 51km solo to take the lead of Tour de Pologne, which he end up winning.

Next monument is on 8/15/20 Giro Di Lombardia. Evenepoel is the current favorite but in one day races anything can happen.

It's weird, but not super shocking. Froome hasn't looked great and he's leaving for another team. Rumor geraint might move too.

Caparaz is a better rider than both of them at the moment... Especially as a lieutenant

Sagan picked up his 126th green jersey today. He's only raced 154 tdf stages. 126/154... insane.

Halfway through the tour and Sagan's down 70 points after this. Watching the replay, WvA definitely came off his line as Sagan made his move, but I don't understand that if the officials disagree that he was off line or just don't allow that move regardless.

Anyway, has certainly heated up the green jersey competition. I wonder if Sagan hadn't had that malfunction and gotten a big points lead on Stage 7 I think it was, if Bennett would've given up the chase for the jersey.

From what I've read and heard Bennett doesn't really care about the jersey. He's after stage wins.

You'd have to say he cares at least a bit about it considering he participated and had a lead out for the intermediate sprint today, no? Especially since Ewan didn't participate in that sprint and then won the stage.

certainly. bennett probably has to go for it at this point.

I had just heard that he came into the race with his only goal being stage wins. Green wasn't even on his radar.

I doubt Bennet or anyone else anticipated that Sagan’s form would be off. Yesterday’s finish was the first time Sagan has truly looked like Sagan. Also, I think the penalty was harsh.

Why full of shit? Please explain. Related, I was pretty disappointed today. Roglic has been so good for so much of this race. I’m not sure why he fell short today when he has out raced Podgecar at every point. My guess is that if he had raced against him in eyesight today, he would have stayed with him and beaten him at the finish line. But racing alone, hie couldn’t perform at his best.

It was just one of the most insane performances ever at the tour.

He's the second youngest winner ever, and the youngest winner ever was over 100 years ago (1904). Only guy to ever win 3 jerseys except for Merckx, who is the unquestionable GOAT.

Pogacar got the all time climbing record for Col de Peyresourde, Col de Marie-Blanque, Pas de Peyrol, Grand Colombier and Planche des Belles Filles during this tour. He absolutely obliterated the Col de Peyresourde record, which is a very common climb in the TdF.

And he did most of that with every single one of the mountain domestiques on his team being out of the race. He had to repeatedly hang on by himself and try to pull back time against the entire Jumbo train.

And then there is his TT yesterday, which is one of the all time great grand tour stage performances. Just obliterated everyone.

All of the reasons I mentioned are why people think he might be full of shit. It's unfortunate, but anytime somebody has a super human performance in cycling, those questions are always there. I'm not saying he is full of shit though. Pogacar might just be that good.

Tom Dumoulin didn't flat out call it suspicious but he came pretty close. Dumoulin said he basically put World Championship time trial numbers there and still lost over a minute (although Dumoulin didn't go for a bike change which might have cost him a bit of time).

GCN+ has the Eurosport feed for the Giro, only $8.99 for a month. They have an app on Android/Android TV or can use Chromecast.
