btw, the fsu offense still sucks. GT is outgaining them 2 to 1, their kicks just keep getting blocked and they keep throwing interceptions in the red zone.
I could care less how ND looks, just go 3-0 this month and round into playing shape. Team looked like it missed a whole spring, 3 fall practices, and had multiple skill players held out of camp. defense is good enough to play with anyone again, special teams look solid Let’s let the offense figure it out in September
There is no doubt Ian did not do well, but the WRs are children right now in experience and they did not have spring ball. Most were 3 stars who needed development or like Avery Davis who switched positions. The skill players are not at all what they should be.
And that’s where it would be nice to have a veteran starter at QB step up his game and put them in the best position to succeed. But unfortunately, he’s still making decisions like a bag of dicks.
There was nothing to like about this game other than defensive pressure. Book was garbage. The line was atrocious other than a few runs, the play calling was terrible. This isn't sustainable but I haven't seen anybody look good this year.
The OL had a good 4th quarter. Basically you had that Jahmir run and from that point on they did get a bit of a push.
I would’ve thought he’d have at least gotten better about the instant break of pocket, but with the limited practice it’s just a continuity of last year.
Positives: JOK Kyren Mayer Seeing a RB who can run less than a 4.8 40 (Tyree) Wilkins The defense in general Jay Bramblett being our best offensive weapon Negatives: Book Offensive Line Receivers The idea of offense Too many Jersey Mikes Commercials Watching the band kids dance by themselves Jay Bramblett being our best offensive weapon
That would have triggered me more if there had not been just so many jersey mikes commercials the last few years. They are breaking me
all the (mostly fast) food commercials yall get just blur together for me. Something (just like pharma commercials) we rarely have to deal with
Everybody looks a little sloppy, not sure we should take too much away from this game. but Nd needs lenzy to have a big year or there are a couple of losses in there
i think i understand what you are saying but I doubt it’s right. Lenzy is always banged up. Fuller was playing as a freshman and starting as a soph. He just needs to be healthy and productive. this offense would really benefit if he and Austin could play. These guys make a huge difference. And obviously fucking book needs to get his head right and start having a minimum of accuracy. It’s fucking ridiculous, he can’t hit short, he overthrows deap. He makes stupid fucking reads. He is a fucking disaster right now. I bet jurkovec would’ve done better, that performance was not up and down it was a fucking nightmare even if he was a freshman. Not only is he not helping he is a major part of the problem. But that is on kelly, he can’t manage that position worth a shit
How dumb was it to chase jurkovec away for this bum Ian book? it is really impressive, he did not make more than two good throws all game. How is it even possible to start 3 years in a row at a place like Nd when you are that shitty. and of course kelly is protecting him, Did rees pass that tea bagging picture to Ian book?
That puts him on par with Ian book, why not make them compete instead of saying that book is your starter even though he fucking sucks?
It seems pretty obvious that book’s best football is behind him(kind of like how he throws the ball to the receivers) why chase away jurkovec when your starter is clearly holding the team back? he is getting worse every year, today was pitiful for a 3 year starter. That was not a good team, and he missed wide open guys, threw some terrible balls that the wrs had to bail him out, he looked panicky again. What will it take? Nd has no shot at winning a big game with him at qb
Watching clemson and Nd has no shot at all, the qb play is night and day. Guys don’t ever break strides, it’s right on the money all the time book can’t even throw a screen accurately
I don't wanna judge things on week one since limited practice and people missing, but as bad as ND looked, they are only losing to Clemson twice. Also, there will be two bad losses to Clemson. Watching Lawrence throw compared to Book is like watching Mahomes and Nathan Peterman
Kelly’s extension announcement delay was a good PR move for recruiting. Waiting 9 months for the opening day to announce is not a bad decision. Now if we would’ve lost, it would’ve been hilariously bad.
Clemson is going to kill us. Also, I’d love to know what our defense would look like with Adebo opposite of McCloud.
The funny thing is that I believe that this defense will come out and play well, but this abomination of an offense gives Nd no chance of staying with clemson
The scheme wasn't great but the defense overall got gashed a few times but looked good overall. They played the entire first quarter but got better from there
