I really don’t understand the thinking of sitting on the lead when you literally have ST guys as your only heathy DB
Let's be garbage again. Id rather tank and get a high pick and hopefully new front office and staff v a 8-8 type season where we keep these bums
I was concerned Swift wouldn’t live up to the legacy of our previous second round RB’s, but I can put that fear to rest.
We all knew late in the 3rd quarter up 23-13 they would lose. I just thought Foles would beat 'em. This is worse.
It's not even that we lost. It's that we were up 17 and I knew we were going to lose so I can't even enjoy that part of it. You're just taking part in a death march where you know the outcome and you're just hoping somehow it's not going to happen this time, yet it somehow always does.
Matt Patricia is the kind of guy that tells his kids, “we are going to the beach!” And then when they get to the beach he makes everyone put on long pants and says you can’t go in the water.
This dude is battling cancer for like the fourth time in his life and I think he's more bitter about being dealt the card of being a Lions fan....
This was going through my mind the final few minutes. There needs to be a 30 for 30 on the Lions. Our ability to always do this is far more impressive than Jordan and the Bulls.
Something something more carbs something and trans fats something something building a winning program
No one who isn't a Lions' fan could truly understand the misery of that 30 for 30, and no Lions' fan would want to watch it. It's the anti-30 for 30. Even the Browns have "the Drive" and had their team taken away. There's big moments where you get that sympathy. The Lions are just 65 years of all these little moments no one but us cares about (like today) on top of each other that lead to the organization sucking more than any other organization has ever sucked.
Considering I'm moving across state, having my son born, and switching jobs all within next month, I appreciate the Lions and FSU this weekend letting me have my weekends free already after 1 week
I spent no dedicated time on the Lions today. Listened to it on the radio while doing yardwork, had it on TV while I made lunch, listened to it on the radio to and from the boy's soccer, etc. No need to waste any direct time on this pig of a franchise.
The next logical move for the Lions would be to either 1. Win some meaningless games to pick about 5th to 10th and keep entire staff Or 2. Get a top pick and pass on Lawrence. I like Stafford more than most, but this team won't be turned around or competitive until he is past his prime. Need a complete overhaul and rebuild
I actually would watch that 30 for 30. Remembering all of the different ways that today happened, that I currently have forgotten about, would probably be pretty funny to me. It's not like we ever play important games that would be gut punches to remember.
I decided I just want Stafford to have success somewhere else. By all accounts, he works hard, went a decade being an Ironman and not missing games (save the back injuries of late), seems to be a good teammate, and his wife and him appear to be involved positively in their communities. He deserves better than this shit franchise.
Thinks its best for all parties involved for a split and let him succeed elsewhere and let Lions completely rebuild with hopefully a new front office and staff. He is the least of our problems and think he could succeed with the right supporting cast
Stafford to the Saints after Brees retires after this season. I can see that happening. That would be a good fit for him.
Also, I irrationally didn’t like Patricia ever since he asked the reporter to sit upright with better posture “acting like a professional” while asking a question at a presser. Has the arrogance and smugness to say shit like that while looking homeless. Then he sucked as a football and coach and looks like a fat slob on the sidelines. The sooner they get rid of that buffoon the better.
