Just need any single one of the other 9 bums to forget they're bums on any given night and randomly shoot better than 15% from 3 and this team can win vs anybody.
that sequence of multiple blocks by Danny Green and AD at the end had me doing a real life version of the Vince McMahon reaction gifs
my son is worse than me when it comes to sports. But, it’s hard to tell a cancer survivor to calm down about anything. He loves the lakers and and while I laugh when he screams at the tv I’ll miss it in a couple weeks when he moves out. As a parent I’m proud that I did one good thing in my life. He is a much better version on me.
Happy birthday to the greatest Laker of all time and the most beloved athlete in Los Angeles history. RIP.
Play a fucking 2 center lineup, +0 reb advantage and a 6'5'' fucking center has the most amount of rebounds. Entire team outside of Lebron played like pussies tonight so far.
No reason for rondo to get any minutes except garbage time. Dude hasn't played in 6 months and gets 25 mins in a playoff game. Inexcusable. Not the only reason we lost but damn....
Starting the 3rd quarter with 2 centers, offense sputters getting outscored by 20, adjusts by putting Rondo and Caruso in the backcourt, this is some next level coaching.
the 3 pointers in the NBA is like the 3 true outcome shit in MLB, it’s what the data says works, cool, it makes the product way less enjoyable to watch
That was a fucking shitshow and a half of 5 mins and had to rely on a god damn Caruso 3 to close out...
Yeah I literally watch zero sports commentary on any TV, radio or website for a while now. There's just no reason. At this point it's not even informed commentary or opinion. Just random takes. I'll stick with a few Twitter follows and quasi daily access sportsnet
As we know from the first as second round, game 1 doesn’t mean too much in the bubble. Still I am enjoying tonight.
Our defense and length gave them trouble. Clippers played a sort of small ball and obviously that didn’t work. Playing AD at the 4 with Dwight and Javale worked out pretty well tonight.
I’m not sure I like anybody on this team except Lebron and AD. I also watch this team over long stretches and think that they just aren’t very good... yet they keep winning. Weird feeling. Hope we can close out Denver in 5 and then tie those fuckers with #17.
Odd because I love this team, even when the secondary guys are struggling. The team chemistry all year has been fantastic and they’ve exceeded almost all of the preseason predictions made by the “experts” in the media who were too busy jerking off to the Clippers Win or lose going forward this was a hell of a season to follow night in and night out. Just thankful to have a winner again after 7 or so years in the woods. This team had to deal with an absolutely unreal tragedy and then COVID shut shit down when they were the best team in the league, they’ve shown tremendous resolve and credit to Vogel and the team leaders for that.
I am pretty unattached to this team just because 'we' have barely anyone who has been on the roster for more than two years and they are not very aesthetically pleasing to watch on offense but it is fun watching AD and Lebron play the sport of basketball and the team as a whole plays great defense. I think just from getting older and watching more basketball I've gotten over some of my tribalism where I hate anyone the Lakers face because I like this Nuggets team...then I turned on the Celtics game on the other day and realized the hate in my heart is still strong for some opposing teams which brings me solace.
