Ordered the comply foam tips last week. Work pretty great today they sent an email saying a better version are out
Seems like the SE is pretty close to the Series 6 with the exception of the ECG and blood oxygen app. Might go that route as I don’t have a watch and want one.
I need to order them because I lost one of my AirPods, and my remaining one is almost 3 years old anyway so it doesn’t hold a charge very long. Was kinda waiting to see if they updated the Pros this fall but it looks like they may not
Cheap skate in me says get the Watch SE. Old man me says get the one with better heart rate stuff just in case I’m dying and don’t know it.
Wonder how long we'll have to wait for third parties to start manufacturing their own versions of the new Apple Loop bands? I'm really liking the look of the briaded version.

Switched from Apple Watch to Garmin Instinct. Liking the simplicity and two-week battery life while still getting 90+% of the features I used on Apple. The only thing I miss is the automatic audio controls. AMA
Buying up Dark Sky then largely leaving the default Weather app the same seems like a massive missed opportunity for iOS 14. It’s still a shitty weather app.
I don’t really much anything to say. I like the new widgets, will be interesting to see if app developers take advantage of it. I like being able to remove the apps off the home screens into the app drawer, but hate how I can’t organize the app drawer how you see fit. Some of the categories the apps get put in make no sense. Like Books, my Reddit app, and my weather app are in the same folder.
I know I'm old now because iOS 14 seems overwhelming to me and I'm not rushing to install it as a result. Might give it a go on my iPad for a while before installing on iPhone.
There’s nothing really overwhelming. The two biggest changes - which are to the home screen - are basically optional. Emoji search can be great though
Installing the beta profile forced the update for me. https://idmsa.apple.com/IDMSWebAuth...d3b&path=//betaprogram/enroll&rv=2&view=1#ios
I've had the beta for a few weeks. Think the weather app is a lot better, just for the fact you can get an hourly forecast.
My current Iphone is about toast, going to buy a new one. Going to also use it as my primary camera, and I take a ton of pictures. Not going to splurge for 11 pro or 11 max -- is the 11 worth it? Just read some reviews and they're pretty stellar I'd also like a case that will hold 2-3 cards but also be really protective. Any recs?
It’s like they did the bare minimum for hourly forecast though. Where’s the percent chan e of rain on it or any more information? Why is it still using Weather Channel data too if they bought Dark Sky?
Based on the screenshot I took pre-update my 3rd row, which is my bottom row, is half an icon higher. iPhone XS. here is the spacing difference per line:
Two things: I'm ultraconservative on software upgrades and will sit on 13.6.2 for a long time. I don't see anything I want or need in 14 and specifically don't want to opt-in to additional tracking. Second thing: We have 200+ mbps fiber and this upgrade took my wife right at an hour on a new iPhone 11. She wishes she had waited to let it run overnight. Be aware of that.
Major number releases always seem to be buggy and big battery drains. It’s best to wait until the inevitable patch comes out in a week or two
