I’m guessing the next time I’ll be down there is for the 2021 season (god I hope life is normal by then). So when I come down I’ll stop by your U101 class and tell them about your first go as a professor. Also chat up the U101 ladies
I’m turning 28 Wednesday and if I’m clean shaven I could easily pass as a 22 year old peer leader for U101. I was blessed with a baby face
By far the most UofSC finish I've ever seen. I wasn't even mad. I just laughed and turned the channel
These things are getting confusing this year. I presume it’s the guy in all white and none of the other colors shown
my group chat is critical about the fellas not being able to do the small things but then they’ll stan for muschamp. i don’t get it.
no argument here. they’re dug the fuck in too thing is- you sorta can stan for champ from the perspective of who the fuck else would coach here but they’re still in denial about who we are as a program.
I've learned 2 things in the last 2 weeks. 1. We still can't tackle a blocking dummy 2. If we don't get positive yards on 1st, we're not going to the 1st down. I have liked Bobo's playing calling. He's mixed it up, been pretty balanced, and Hill hasn't been terrible. We just are not a good football team.
Our defense has good players but they don’t play as a unit. We have a bad defense but there’s a bunch of guys on it that will play at the next level
Horn, Mukuamu, Jones will all be in the league. Enigbare probably will too plus no idea on Burch yet. There’s a lot of dudes over there but they suck as a unit.
Jones strikes me as more of the good college LB that doesn’t have the measurables to translate Good chance several on the back end play on Sundays which is infuriating since that group sucks Pickens and Burch and maybe Enagbare will probably make it there. Aaron Sterling would too if he wasn’t so small.
it doesn't seem like we are improving, in general, under muschamp a big reason we hired him was to identify / recruit / develop / coach defensive talent, and we've given him the opportunity to build an entire defensive roster, and they have looked like shit
on the other hand, we aren't getting worse. It feels like the same old South Carolina teams. Florida and Tennessee usually beat us. and firing Muschamp may well make us even worse. i don't like hitting the 'reset' button on a coach unless it's a total failure, and Muschamp hasn't been a total failure. Going into this cycle of switching coaches every 3-4 years is bad, and i think it should be normal to give any coach 6 yrs or so at least. and supposedly we have a potentially program-changing qb coming in that really likes Bobo and Muschamp.
If you’re still believing QB hype for this school then I just don’t know what to tell you to come back to reality
i dont know what these words mean are you suggesting that there's some sort of QB hype karma, where the ghost of Blake Mitchell follows around all gamecock QB's, past present and future?
I don’t think that much of Stockton tbh He does most of his damage on the ground and isn’t that great of a passer I don’t see how he’s appreciably better than Doty as a prospect because he’s the better athlete of the two
Yeah, who could we realistically get to replace Muschamp? Firing him and losing Bobo would likely cause us to lose Stockton. How has our recruiting been for skill positions? I am concerned with our secondary. And our receivers can’t catch a cold. At least rushing attack looked better.
debating whether stockton is / isn't as good as advertised is missing the point the point is that we hired Muschamp primarily to recruit, and signing the highest-rated QB in program history has to be considered evidence that he can recruit well.
This is where I'm at. Has Muschamp been a success? No, except for year 2. Has he been a failure? No not really. He's been about what was envisioned when he was hired, and the schedule hasn't given him any favors
We need to give Muschamp, or whoever we hire next, a fighting chance and quit scheduling quality opponents ooc. It is fucking ludicrous that a program like ours would play the toughest schedule in the country under any circumstances. Schedule three absolute patsies every year Right now we don't even give ourselves a chance to succeed.
I mean until yesterday, he was .500 here st SC. Thats pretty standard for SC coaches other than Spurrier
If you play this game he’s just going to stick around He’s won 5 of his last 20 and his next class is outside the top 40 He’s doing nothing well and it’s going to continue to get worse the longer you let it happen
Napier, Healy, someone else from a smaller school who is having some success I’d rather take a chance on someone like that being the next big thing than let Muschamp continue to pump out 4 to 6 win teams and bring in enough 4*s that don’t pan out to keep everyone happy
Or we could keep being happy that we sign guys like Jamyest Williams and Rick Sandidge who everyone else knows is overrated
