what you chodes don't get is that EVERY TEAM has to spend saturday mornings dealing with "how many dozens of personnel still have COVID" and that's why it was IN LIMBO
our 247 board was flipping out about not scheduling a team this week to prepare for a BC squad that beat up on a shitty Duke squad last week, feel like most of them were really just throwing a temper tantrum about not playing two weeks in a row and don't know how to handle disappointment also 17-0 midway through 1
honestly this is just *Coastal Chaos* bleeding throughout the rest of the conference with no divisions to keep you safe now
there's going to be like three, maybe four good teams this year and everyone else is going to be biblically bad.
School said a hip injury, but I have to assume he’s got a concussion at least due to the removal of the face mask. He was conscious and alert on the way to the hospital so that’s good.
Duke fans seem just about done with Cut and they may be right, think they've hit the ceiling with him (and probably as a program).
they’ve definitely reached their ceiling. im doubtful they could attract a coach as good or better than Cut unless they commit a lot more resources to football.
don't really disagree. I think their perspective is that they seem themselves as actively going backwards instead of at least treading water to maintain a decent spot. the rest of the Coastal is now clearly better off than them and the gap seems to be widening (look at where Pitt, UNC, and UVA are as programs in comparison) so the question is do you risk Cut putting you back in the cellar and making it really difficult for the next guy or do they maybe move on (I'd assume after 2021 or so, can't see hardly anyone getting fired this year no matter what) and take a chance.
NC State @ Pitt (-13.5) (noon) UNC (-11) @ Boston College (330) Virginia Tech (-10.5) @ Duke (4 pm) Jacksonville St @ Florida St (4 pm) Campbell @ Wake Forest (7 pm) Virginia @ Clemson (-28.5) (8 pm)
if they do move on, i think it wouldn’t be a terrible idea to keep cut around in the athletic department. if the number of openings is small this year, as predicted, it would be a good offseason for a school like duke to make a change.
firing a coach in a pandemic season is a really bad look for essentially everyone, to say nothing of a program like Duke and that's before you mention it's their best coach ever. if they could convince him to retire and stay on then yea but I think they'll likely have to ride out this season and next season at minimum, maybe 2022 as well. it's just a bad time to become bad at coaching in the Coastal because most every other program is making strides forward. this is why Fuente's seat is at least warm, too. if the rest of the Coastal was as it usually is then VT could stand some shitty seasons like they did with Beamer at the end but that can't happen right now.
Starters were out at the end of the 3rd. Not like the starters were in the game to the end throwing bombs.
at least this game we won’t need to play our olbs in the secondary due to injury. it was such a mess by the end of the year. we should be able to keep your starters in until midway through the 3rd at least.
I've never hid that it was me lmao, I made an obvious name change and kept posting. I've still got the same Fan Of and my tag showing this account is basically from the first night this place was founded. people that have multiple accounts for forums are mentally ill.
