Would love to hear the logic for not putting any of the new signings in the lineup, or Anguissa in the starting 11. Once we get the new guys in, plus sign another CB and maybe a second striker due to Mitro’s injury concerns, I think we will be much better
Better lineup than last week, though I’m not crazy about Areola over Rodak in goal Odoi at CB over Ream
midfield is better without Cairney a legitimate LCB would do the lineup wonders (obvious take is obvious) also would like to see Lemina in for Reed just to get a comparison
the lesson from spending £100m should have been "do it correctly this time on the right players" rather than "lets not spend as much and see if a championship side can get lucky and stay up "
No movement on the CB front so we're going into a must-win game against Villa with the same guys. Marlon failed his medical so I'm becoming increasingly skeptical we get someone helpful in this window.
second goal defense is shambles and all they do is point at each other. I don't see any universe this teams stays up in. Appears it'll be worse than 2 years ago.
any match where Ream and Odoi are on the back line is unwinnable in the PL hate that Parker is going to end up being the scapegoat for Tony Khan's incompetence
the bright side is that what looks best I can tell to be a 3-4-3 is creating more chances than we've had in the previous 2 matches. It would be worth keeping if the back 3 weren't so shambolic
Not sure how you don’t beef up that backline before going back up like that’s should have been 90% of their focus
which is what the entire fanbase was screaming leading up to the season but Tony is too smart for that.
Tony Khan proving once again that he’s overmatched (and I would deem unqualified) for his role at the club. It pisses me off and Fulham is my secondary PL team so I Truly feel for all the Fulham fans out there. Fixing their backline (outside of Hector) had to be their priority and they’ve done little to nothing and it’s just shameful. The 2 robbie’s shitting all over Cairney’s lack of tracking back of Villa’s second goal is completely warranted and proves that Count de Monet was correct in saying he shouldn’t play in the PL, let alone wear the captain’s armband.
Probably for the best as the championship is just a more enjoyable league unless you're liverpool, city, etc. Every year new teams are fighting for promotion and relegation, and assuming we go back down, should be a cleaning of the house of all the dead weight we've accumulated over the years.
