Brian Ortega's coach tested positive for covid. Hope he doesn't have it. That fight seems like it's gotten canceled as many times as Khabib/Tony.
he was positive a month ago took three tests in between then and this week and all came back negative his test from 3 days ago came back positive and the ufc had to shut down his cornering he’s bummed
Nothing from me today. Played a few DK lineups but between all the good football this weekend, and getting snipped yesterday, I haven't had much time to research like I normally do. As far as my DK lineups go, it's a collection of these guys: Aspinall, Du Plessis, Nascimento, Buckley, Moraes, Sandhagen, Topuria, Bhullar.
Im more moraes than sandhagen, But have a little of both. the Buckley fight is hard to figure for me considering he was KOd 2 months ago if I miss points on this one I can hopefully make it up. He’s got so much power but like last time he will be much shorter. I’m oppo on the du plessis fight mostly due to experience. I like KB, and topuria as dogs and have used them in lineups. Feel like Aspinalll seems set up to get a KO which I’m sure you are targeting as well. Nascimiento is interesting, daukus came in light but still looks sloppy which is usually a good sign for the opponent. I also like Rothwell over Tybura. And think Edson will be out of Makwan’s league but who knows.
i remember when Sho Gun Rua was seen as a mythical creature. El Cucuy May never be the same after what Gathje did to him
That's fair but I don't think Jones has ever taken a beating like Ferguson either. The first Gustafson fight the most damage Jon has taken? That or OSP maybe?
I watched Ferguson/Gathje and Connor/Khabib. If you stone Khabibs take downs, he throws hands at you and then shoots. Am I crazy for thinking he will need more to get Gathje down? khabib does more to render your legs useless than anyone I’ve ever seen. Connor may as well have been Lieutenant Dan when he was on the ground.
I've been on the "Gaethje is the guy to stop Khabib" train for years, and it's finally here. If you rewatch the Connor fight, he actually stuffed quite a few takedowns, it surprised me how many times he was successful. If, if, if Gaethje is successful stopping the takedowns, he'll knock Khabib out and shock the world. Training with a world class wrestler like Usman certainly doesn't hurt. I am already fucking jacked for that card and we still have a decent one to get through this weekend.
I hate that Gaethje won't have his leg kicks. I will have to see someone not get taken down by Khabib repeatedly to believe it at this point. But I'm also curious about the loss of his father and the potential impact on his training and performance(I know, I know).
He throws them so quick and from so close that I don't know if Khabib will. However, Khabib will feint his way in and as soon as JG reacts he'll shoot or try to push him to the fence.
That is true but he will throw them from a distance early on to force boxers into his punching range.
I like a ton of dogs today I’ve got bets on Ziam, Botelho, Martinez, Silva, Chookagian, Bukauskus, Ortega. If ya wanna get frisky Park Win ITD, Martinez/Almeida Does not to the distance, Silva by Sub or simply fight doesn’t go distance, Grishin by Ko/TKO, Gamrot/Kutaledze goes distance Hello Lando Donovan
