Dunno if you saw the game tonight, but JOK played out of his mind against the best team in the country. 2.5 TFL, 2 FF, 1 returned fumble for a TD, all over the field Not sure how he’s not a first rounder
he got caught a few times but if you are going to try going at him this is the stat line that might stare you in the face at the end of the game. clemson tried to use his aggressiveness against him a few times and it worked a few times, but when it did not work it really did not work...like when they pitched it
Fell asleep watching the replay. Woke up with tirico going crazy with Avery Davis big play on the last drive
What a career. The fact that he's still here on his 4th position is incredible. I'm not sure we really know what his ceiling is, but he's developed so well. If he can continue this rise, that'll be great for him and the team. Can throw mckinley in there too
Beat a #1 team from the ACC at home in November? BC up next? Gonna need that BC kicker room to get a case of the COVID.
Everything about this play is phenomenal, but don’t overlook Kyren both picking up the blitz and finishing the guy into the turf
Ya. Time flies. I posted this last week in the Big Ten thread - you guys might get a laugh, too. **** So my son, who is 5, has gotten REALLY obsessed with football in the last 6 months. Last night he was going through this weekend's slate and asked me who I was going to root for in each game. He got to Indiana v. Michigan and I told him that I'd normally always root for Indiana in that matchup, but because Michigan voted for Biden and Indiana for Trump, I might just root for Michigan this year. He asked what other states voted for Trump. I summarized it as, "basically, any college that is good at football voted for Trump." He thought about it for a few seconds and said, "so Clemson voted for Trump?" "Yep" "Cincinatti?" "Yep." *pensive moment* "I don't think Penn State voted for Donald Trump because they're not good at football."
I’m scared and scarred from being a ND fan and a Lions fan—little good things can happen in my life with these things based on 30 years of experience.
Taylor, Rees, and Kelly need to be working FaceTime and Zoom hard today, it’s flip season for cruits go find us some skill players on both sides of the ball
In 2017 I brought my first son home from the hospital basically this same week of the year and subsequently watched ND get slaughtered by Miami. Brought my second son home from the hospital this week expecting the same. This is so much better.
Great... - Run defense, particularly Daelin and Hinish - Offensive line master class - Ian Book, other than the fumble - Kyren doing everything - JOK being JOK Good... - Doerer - Shayne Simon was called out as a liability. Had himself a day - WRs stepped up - Mayer put the first quarter behind him and was lights out late - Coaching. Lea made Clemson totally one dimensional. Rees had a great gameplan to keep Clemson off balance and not let them steal signals. Only complaint is abandoning the run game in the second half Bad... - Corners got exposed badly - Red zone offense still needs all the work - Tackling...woof
he was incredible, the guy is a warrior. He is a better version of Riddick and Riddick was a very very good college rb but pff can be misleading
I'm guessing Zeke is his hero, and he strikes me as a poor man's Zeke, or maybe Zeke is a poor man's Karen the way both are playing rn.
I don't know how his career will play out at ND, but I feel like that tape guarantees he finds himself on an NFL roster for a long time
Rewatching the game, and yes, Book left a ton of easy throws on the field, but other than the fumble this was his best game at ND. Still, it feels weird to say this about a 5th year QB, but sometimes take the chain moving play instead of going for the big play. I'm weirded out having to make that comment about Book. Maybe I just can't be pleased
i was right there with you and when they picked up the obvious flag on 3rd and 7...Nd doesn’t convert 4th down. This was epic refs did not help Nd at all
When do we get rankings? I’m feeling 3 but I’m curious. We need to be 1 or 2 so when we lose to #4 Clemson we just trade spots.
Beating number one, Nd can’t be lower than 2 i still think osu should be 2 but they do not have this Nd resume
Would bet money on 3 but maybe a couple of first place votes for beating #1 Edit: shocking i would have lost another bet. Up to 2 in the coaches poll.
I like daelin Hayes inside on obvious passing downs, it was brought up in the ii podcast and it makes so much sense. he got the huge sack when it was 2nd and 19 on the last Clemson drive. He beat the guard so easily
Sneaky big injury their LG suffered late. Pretty sure it was his freshman replacement that Daelin beat.
Wow that is surprising. I thought OSU would stay ahead of us too, despite the fact they've only played 3 games and their best win is Rutgers.
