They had to have just fallen ass backwards in to that success at UCF, because holy shit these guys are dumb as stumps.
I’m sure it’s not as good as it looked at UCF and honestly it’s probably not AS BAD as it looks right now. I think they’re somewhere in the middle. The thing is, in the AAC they had better talent and better athletes in probably every game outside of Memphis. So the margin for error was a lot bigger there. Right now, we rarely have a leg up talent wise, so when you’re getting stupid penalties, turnovers, suspect play calling etc. you can’t overcome that. Its evident when you think of last Saturday. Or even last year the Colorado, Purdue, Indiana, Iowa games probably all could have been won if we just made a couple more basic/textbook plays.
I’ve been living on what if’s the whole 2000s though. I’m tired of seeing the same Nebraska team with different coaches
McGowens down to Nebraska and Georgia. Can’t wait to see how this plays out. Play with your brother, or play for $100k +
Different coaches and different players but constantly stepped on our own dicks for the better part of the last 20 years. It's honestly amazing it's been so consistent regardless of the participants.
Another thing, we have maybe 20+ scholarships that go to skill guys (RB, WR, DBs). Are you telling me not a one is better than some walk on from western Nebraska? If so, burn it to the ground
I meant for KR. I’m on one today, need to do a better job before posting. Nobody wants to be a good poster as bad as I do
I was just kidding. Our offense sucks so bad, I can’t imagine giving the young guys 10 plays and playing back yard football wouldn’t be an upgrade honestly.
If we only had these awesome wide receiver blocking mandates when I was in school I’d have walked on. “Wow he’s moving around like an offensive guard out wide just like coach likes it!”
This guy really said point the thumb today. FFS. Honestly since I didn’t watch more than that, did any of our media folks have the balls to ask him why he thought it was okay for him to wear his mask like a chode?
So much for the hope that reading compression was responsible for a large number of Nebraskans voting against anti-slavery initiatives.
That map tracks pretty well with populations who believe cattle should be treated better than prisoners. Checks out.
At our city council meeting they had a mask mandate vote (probably not going to pass) and the public got to speak - and a self proclaimed healthcare professional (chiropractic assistant) made the claim that if we were meant to wear a mask to protect us from a virus, then we would be born with a mask on our face.
This is somewhat of a loose tangent but had to share. I observed court cases today and the judge was asking what the credentials were for a psychiatric provider at the local toilet plex... Judge: Is she an APRN? Lady: I believe she's a doctor of APRN...PHD
Chiros really need to stick to back pain and migraines. Keep their stupid opinions on all other topics (healthcare or otherwise) inside their stupid little heads.
At this point chiropractors are people who decided a D.C. would be better for their Instagram career than an M.D.
I did a persuasive essay + presentation in my AP English class senior year of hs on the horrors of chiropractic care (my dad's a PT/AT, I come by it honestly). Forgot one of my classmate's dad was a chiro (and a really nice guy + his wife/classmate's mom was one of my favorite teachers). Boy did I feel like a jerk (I was right, though).
Mask mandate vote 4-4, mayor voted no to break the tie. honestly, it’s probably too late to matter anyway, we’re in the middle of the surge and it’s gonna go til January regardless and a mask mandate ain’t gonna matter as long as we still are having indoor events without and capacity restriction and people are still going to have thanksgiving and Christmas in huge groups. also the majority of our hospitalizations aren’t from the city proper but transfers from small towns which are getting decimated.
The pain treatment market is gigantic and chiros are pretty good at treating it on the whole. This "we treat everything" mindset needs to be filtered out at the state board level.
And yet it didn’t work when I made the same argument in front of a judge about not wearing pants in public. SMDH.
The Marijuana "Well, we've certainly seen in other states like Colorado when you pass legalization of recreational, as well as medicinal, marijuana that you see an increase in traffic fatalities that are caused by marijuana use and an increase in a number of other things such as young people getting a hold of the marijuana," Ricketts said. "The marijuana has the opportunity to create psychosis in people and that could lead to a number of very bad outcomes as well, so those bad health effects happen when you legalize marijuana."
So I've been clear on how I feel about this with regards to teen/adolescent use, less concerned about its impact on adults (although there is some). It's just laughable to hear the above contrasted with what we know about alcohol and its effects on health/safety. Psychosis can occur while under the acute effects of cannabis, as well as in post-intoxication/withdrawal states. Rarely, does it progress to schizophrenia (this however sadly does happen). Alcohol use can also impact and even cause psychosis in intoxication/withdrawal states, so another point that doesn't really hold up against cannabis being some sort of boogeyman that alcohol isn't.
