Do yourself a favor and try it. You have to commit like 4 hours to playing it though. Otherwise I can see people ditching it and not coming back.
I started a thread on it in this forum, but didn't get any bites. There's tons of sidequests that you don't have to do. I'm sure you could do the mainquest in under 40 hours, but you'd be missing a lot out of the game. Tip: Don't be an asshole and steal from every city. There's a few cities that I can't even sell stuff in because I was caught pickpocketing and killing citizens and it's annoying.
I'd say probably. I got it. Focus on getting some of the treasure maps at first (especially the ones you get with the Royal Edition). It will help you have good armor early in the game and it's needed IMO. The game is difficult. You get a dog as part of the DLC and that's cool. He can get really annoying barking at shit all the time. Teach him to find locations. I didn't learn that til the last trait, and I wish I would have done it earlier. Helps you find enemy camps and other random things that keeps the game exciting.
I was also kind of bummed after getting the trait that uncovers the map. It makes it so you don't know where you have/haven't explored and it kind of ruined some of the fun. So i'd suggest you wait on that perk when you get the option.
Everybody going digital purchases this generation? I did digital only on my switch and ps4. But now I'm thinking...do I really want discs to game swap/trade? Pros: Don't have to change disc to swap games Don't have to wait for new games to be delivered/no need to go out and buy one Less clutter in the house 0% chance that one of my kids will use the disc as a toy and ruin it Cons: Cannot sell or trade when complete Cannot share with friends
If they model it after xbox release Newegg was midnight, target and best buy were like 1:30 am, Walmart was noon.
Mine has not shipped from Amazon but says it’s expected Thursday. I squeezed in an order for a TMBer from Target the same day and it quite frankly looks as if they’re going to ship the damn thing to me instead of his house and the fact that I called them to try to fix that seems to have bumped the delivery back several days.
I haven't paid attention since pre-orders. Are accessories hard to get? I want a new headset. Think I'm good with 1 controller. Anything else I need?

Sony is going to be coming out with VR version 2 at some point. The first version will work on the PS5. You can’t use 3rd party stuff though.

Yea that’ll work. I have the Platinums as well. Should be plug and play with the wireless transmitter or the aux cable plugged into the bottom of the new DualSense controller. I don’t know that anyone has given a definitive comparison between the Gold or Platinums and the Pulse 3D yet but supposedly the Pulse’s new Tempest 3D gives better surround and the mics are supposed to sound better.
I’d target Walmart first then target. Rumors on Twitter are Amazon is having problems filling the preorders so don’t know if they will have stock to buy on launch day.

That's excellent man, really glad to see folks are getting it on time. seeing a lot of folks saying that their Walmart order hasn't moved but they are getting Fedex notifications, a couple saying theirs is scheduled for Friday. I guess I wasn't logged in under my Walmart account when I did my order (forgot I even had one) so I'm not getting any shipment notices. When i log into my account and enter my order #, i get an error. so tomorrow will be a waiting game for me, I have a Walmart distro center about an hour away, really hope mine is coming from there. Has your CC been charged yet?
Illinihockey got an email today saying my order is on its way, telling me I was being charged, and giving me a tracking number (still expected on the 18th).
i saw that too, not sure what to make of it. Will they release stock at those times and ship to you, pick up in store, etc? Doesn't seem to be a lot of clarity on what they will do

Heads up. Walmart is making stock available online at noon, 3:00, 6:00, and 9:00 PM tomorrow. GameStop will also have bundled PS5s available “in limited quantities” tonight. Incredibly vague and incredibly GameStop.
