Do you have a Costco membership or know someone with one? This box is regularly $39.99 in store and has been $34.99 on occasion. It’s one of, if not the best Lego deal out there: LEGO Classic Big Box 1,500-piece Set https://www.costco.com/lego-classic-big-box-1,500-piece-set.product.100420144.html
That Disney train I talked about yesterday. Had to pick it up off the floor today so the roomba could run. Dropped one of the cars and spent 30 minutes figuring out how to put it all back together. The gift and the curse of legos
I bought a bootleg lego bc it was $20 and got here next day on Friday. It was actually a ton of fun. And difficult bc it was Chinese instructions. It’s about 6” tall by 8” long 950 pieces.
I turned 10 again, my parents got me legos for my birthday lol. Picked up the Mustang and the Dubai and NY skylines. I have a lot of building to do once the weather goes to shit.
I bought this last year. I had it displayed horizontally in a built-in book case. We moved to a new house and the built-ins in the kids' playroom are narrower so I had to display the segments.
The White House is a good build and looks great on a shelf, It's a good deal at $100. I'm jealous of the bridge, that's bad ass.
The bridge is an awesome build but make sure you have a lot of space if you're going to tackle it. It is one of those sets that does not come with numbered bags. They put all the bricks of the same color in a bag together so you have to open all the bags at once so its a TON of bricks laid out at one time (not an issue for everyone but our dogs love to steal/chew/eat them haha)
Agreed. This was the first set I came across that way, where no bags were numbered. I really enjoyed building it though.
I just finished building the lower portion last night. I'm happy I joined this thread, but man is it becoming an expensive habit already. I'm eyeing this set for christmas: https://www.lego.com/en-us/product/taj-mahal-10256
Has anyone done a Lego Serious Play? They're really expensive, so I wouldn't buy a set for myself, but it looks like it'd be fun to do a workshop.
If there’s any of you SW LEGO stans like me out there, the LCS falcon($800, 7500 pieces) is currently available on BestBuy.com at retail. They’re also offering 18-month financing
My wife accidentally opened them when I was at work. They were supposed to be delivered by the Elves on the Shelves, bud she RUINED EVERYTHING.
Super cool to see how far they’ve taken it. Years ago, I remember seeing Falling Water and some intricate fire station and being blown away. Now it’s just an insane level.
Every Christmas for about the past 4-5 years I go to my grandma's house. She buys every single LEGO Christmas Village set. She sets up a room in the back of the hous with a table where I can build them all and sip bourbon and beer in peace. Meanwhile all my cousins are running around the house screaming. Kitchen is hectic as hell. Covid ruined my Christmas build this year. Dammit.
https://www.lego.com/en-us/product/1989-batwing-76161 Anyone built this? Think I'm pulling the trigger for myself for Christmas.
Yeah, I’ve just been putting off the 250 price tag. Until now. Fucking target has it in stock, it’ll be here early next week.
It’s ~2’x3’. Parents got it for me when I was younger. It’s basically a piece of plywood with the LEGO base glued
