I would just keep it up at all times just in case and refresh every 15 minutes or so. I was doing it everyday. I seemed to be one of the first people to get one today so that worked for me.
You’re my hero for notifying of us in here. I had an auto refresher chrome extension that was doing it every 10 seconds.
What do I need to do today, or in the coming days to get a PS5? I’m batting worse than Chris Davis at the moment.
have PS Direct up every morning and refresh every 5-10 minutes probably. So you're one of the first to do the captcha and then wait for when it lets you in.
Mine said by Nov 25, and it's arriving today. Ordered from Walmart on Friday. I didn't pay for fast shipping because I just clicked through fast.
I think they're trying to get these all sent out ASAP. Playstation already says preparing to be shipped. Mine likely ship tomorrow and I'll have it by Friday.
Where does everyone put their consoles? I have a floating entertainment stand that's only maybe 6 feet wide. We got a new TV a few months ago and now there's no space on the stand to set the PS5 on without blocking the TV. I don't want to put it on the ground under because that's where my dogs beds are. Probably have to put an end table next to it.
You're really looking to stay on the heater. I'd set your expectations a little lower. This is Sony you're relying on.
The TV with video games is mounted. I have a sideboard table under it with the Nintendo Switch, NES mini, sound bar, PS4 and 4k blu ray player. I'm out of room on it. Not sure exactly where I'm going to put the PS5. NES mini will likely be going in a closet.
My TV is mounted too, but not 15+ inches above the floating shelf. The other gaming systems fit underneath in the shelf, but the PS5 is a behemoth and I know it won't fit standing up. It also would get really bad circulation. My PS4 survived being tucked in a cabinet, but it was old and I didn't care if it died the last year or 2.
Potentially. However, has anyone noticed problems laying it down on its side? My plan was to put it on the very edge of the sideboard vertically but if horizontally works as well I'll just do that.
Mine just arrived at home. Wife was off today bc of a covid scare at her work. Tempted to go home early...
When I first fire up Spider-Man miles morales I’m gonna be sure to close my eyes for a moment, perform a long inhale, and remind myself that this is for TMB user Thoros of Beer
Spoke to a Costco Warehouse worker today and she said they don’t even have any on order for in store purchases due to supply issues
Anybody that bought one through Walmart and already has it; did you get charged already? It was shipped Thursday, then I got a text from my bank saying a charge was attempted for the price of the PS5. I texted yes to say it was authorized. I received this PS5 Sunday morning and still haven’t been charged by Walmart. I assume they’ll charge me at some point, right?
Current tv lacks 4k. Looking at this as a reasonable replacement to take advantage of what the PS5 can do (and until 8k becomes affordable). Any thoughts? I don't know much about this stuff. https://www.rtings.com/tv/reviews/samsung/q70-q70t-qled
For anyone with PSN that is unable to secure a PS5 just yet, you can add Bugsnax to your library via the PS App so you won’t miss out on getting it for free this month.
Mine said "Direct Signature Required" and the fedex driver just left it and dipped. I think it's really up to the driver.
Mine still preparing but you picked 3-4 biz days like myself iirc. That’s right in that Thursday sweet spot.
Welp, they really don’t care about shipping estimates, mine updated to say it’ll be here on Wednesday. That plus my new MacBook showing up on Wednesday means I am gonna be useless at work in ~48 hours.
You can get the Sony X900H for 999 or the LG CX for 1400 right now. I’m debating which one to get. Both have hdmi 2.1. I’m currently on a C8 and might wait another year since nothing is really taking advantage of the increase in frames yet. I thought 8k was more if you had over 80 inch screen. Anything smaller and it means nothing.
Nice find on the Sony, that's quite a bit cheaper. The 8k tvs are out of my price range, so no worry on that issue.
