They put him on oxygen and released him Friday, by Sunday he was taken back to the ER because his blood oxygen level fell to mid 80’s. My buddy said that the company that dropped his oxygen machine off Friday told him “good thing you got this one, our company is all out, you got the last one”. Friend was a big Covid truther, I think this really opened his eyes

Update: They did a scan of his lungs that Sunday and they had an infection. His rapid and regular test were negative and they sent him home. Thanksgiving day he got admitted to the hospital after being unable to respond to my grandma, and was diagnosed with bacterial pneumonia. Today, after large drops in his oxygen levels, they started treating him for covid, though he still hasn't actually tested positive for it. From the sounds of it, he's one step above going into the ICU. Ton of hurt feelings going around the family as my mom and aunt aren't going home if he passes, and the rest of the maga bunch thinks that's ridiculous.
it's entirely possible your sick cousin didn't have covid when he was sick but a bacterial pneumonia infection which he gave your grandfather. either way, what a fucking asshole

the speed at which these new therapeutics including the vaccines are being fast tracked is likely unprecedented in human history. The Regeneron Mabs got EUA from the FDA last week and we are expecting to be able to use it on patients later this week.
