Jota's hold up play as the central man was excellent. Mane and Salah both played poorly considering their standards, but Jota was really good at providing them chances. I shouldn't be too surprised considering Diogo is the best player in the world. I'd start Jota, Bobby, and Salah against Wolves.
IN case anyone wondered: Caoimhin is the Irish equivalent to the English name Kevin and it is pronounced ' Kwee-Veen'
Caoimhe O’Neal for the athletic name confused me at first as well. “There really is no V in it, huh?”
That’s definitely coming. He puts a title on the board for Rangers after their decade in the wilderness and he’s a club legend. Hope he does it. ETA: Looked it up. Rangers are 11 clear of Celtic but Celtic have two in hand.
It was only a comparison and he has the experience, one Klopp retires, there is nowhere else to but him, for good or bad
Id like it to be Stevie but he needs to be ready for it. He’s got 3 years to challenge himself in a tougher job.
I honestly don’t know if we need the midfield help more to give Gini a rest or Trent back just to have Trent back. Glad it’s finally happening.
In theory, if Keita, Trent, Ox, Thiago, and Milner are all back in a couple weeks, everyone is less likely to get injured moving forward. I have fucking idea what happens to Shaq, he just disappears for awhile based on something that happened off screen.
So you don't have to go to the Echo's awful website. Klopp on Brexit. "Michael Edwards was involved in a lot of these discussions and the clubs fought pretty hard for a solution, a kind of a good solution or as good as possible," Klopp said. "For me, it's just a decision and without discussions it would have been worse. I am still waiting for the first advantage of Brexit that someone can tell me, what really improves after Brexit. "It's not obviously not my thing to say or judge but as an interested person I just wait until the first really positive impact of Brexit. "Maybe I didn't read it because I'm too much in football but I don't remember a lot to be honest. "In football now, let's use that as an example, the people want to – I think the FA or whatever – want to make sure that the clubs don't sign too many players from other countries because they are afraid that not enough English talents will make their way. "If you look at the English youth national teams in the moment, they are in the top two or three – if not top – in nearly all age groups, talent wise 100 per cent and that is with the way we did it before "So now, lets think about why that happened. They had a lot of players around them that played good football as well. It's just helpful. "We cannot just create more [English] talents because we deny other talents. But, as I say, it's not my thing to judge really "It's just one of the smaller problems which we will all be aware of when Brexit is finally there."
David Lynch said they are looking to loan Sepp van den Berg in January. Also that Yves Bissouma from Brighton could be a target in the summer to replace Gini. The Bissouma link is a weird one, because the club doesn't leak targets and Bissouma isn't exactly a name that drives clicks.
