They would be running a script to scrape off Target's website. They dont have an inside source to the inventory at Target or how it's allocated. Call your local stores or if you have time take a drive. Leaving now.
Called three times now and every time it hung up, no one picked up. Said on their recording we are not providing information on existing stock. Fuck you Target.
Although it says available for contactless “Drive Up” or Order Pickup so I don’t think you can just walk into the store and grab it?
Yeah...but it probably won't be until after midnight...that's when they usually release the online stock
Popfindr isn't new, people have been using it for years. If it says your store has 10 , they have 10. If it says they have 1-2...could be a glitch and they could get snatched by an employee. We've seen the same scenario with the PS5 and Target for the lsat few weeks. As soon as inventory pops up on Popfindr, there's an online release that night.
So you are saying they know before Target posts said inventory? Also, in regards to the last few weeks has Target had in store inventory?
Popfindr doesn't run a script on target's website. I'm not exactly sure how it works but during launch week it said my local target had 3 even though target.com said out of stock. I went and unfortunately was 4th that morning and sure enough they had three in stock. It's very accurate.
This is my first time using popfindr. I’m just trying to give everyone a lead. My buddy swears by it and I’ve read multiple forums where people say that their stock count is usually legit. The reason that the stock isn’t showing up on Targets app is because they have not put them on sale yet. And Target does not sell PS5s for in store purchase yet. So, you are probably wasting your time driving to the store.
Yes, they know Target has inventory before Target enables the inventory on their website for sale. Yes. That's a 100% absolute fact.
Remember, it's not called PS5Finder...it's Popfindr...they've been doing this for years for those weird Funko Pop things people collect and have to hunt down rares for
re: in-store availability...I'd check every Wal-Mart that you're willing to drive to. Saw a "lot" of walk-in purchases on Twitter yesterday
No go at the one I went to this morning. They had two yesterday, I was in the fucking store yesterday morning and didnt walk over.
Woke up to find out my PlayStation account had been hacked and about $600 worth of games downloaded. Been trying to reset my password all morning but the email requests aren’t coming to me. Looks like I’ll be calling customer support and hoping I can get through later today.
Target and Walmart will show inventory before they know it's at the store. I went for a the NES mini and they showed it in but it was still sitting on trucks. I had to wait around for a couple of hours.
it’s on my list for sure. Had to finish the uncharted series first Bc the 3rd one is my favorite game ever
Ouch. So how would this thievery work? Couldn’t they easily figure out what PlayStation it was downloaded to and/or disable the game that was downloaded?
Highly recommend people turning on 2 step verification on your account if you haven't already to help prevent that happening.
My local targets show 10-14 available ps5 disc but the app says none - called and said they had none.
They won’t tell you they have any because they don’t have any to sell in store. Only online and store pickup.
My Miles game came a day or two after my ps5. I chatted with a support person before it arrived and they escalated my claim because they didn’t see a separate tracking number for delivery. I didn’t have a way to reach this escalation team to let them know when it did arrive the next day. They emailed me a week later saying that they saw I was playing the game on my account and to enjoy, case closed. Lesson: they know what we’re doing on our systems, I bet they can track the thieves.
Confirmed. The girl I spoke with gave me a song and dance about it. One of our Targets says they have 10 disc versions so I'm just hammering refresh every 10 minutes on the website trying to catch the drop.
ps accounts are tied to a console which you can only change on the console (except once per year you can reset it online). the hacker likely got into the account and tied it to their own console. so even when he gets the account back he will have to tie it to his console or the hacker can still use the games. additionally, ive never heard of sony doing refunds for this type of situation. you can also use this system to your advantage by putting your account on a friend's console so you both have access to you library thus "game sharing"
So if he goes it back to his console, the thief in question loses access to these games? How is it even worthwhile at that point?
No, he has access as long as he’s signed into your username. Sony should be able to get his IPv4 based on what console is signed into your account then cross-reference what other accounts use that IP address to permaban him and reset your account.
Because I got the disc version PS5, I’m selling my PS4 to a friend. If I don’t delete my account and they sign in under me, they’ll still be able to play the games I downloaded to the hard drive, correct? And I won’t run afoul of Sony or get my account held or banned or anything?
I called the store that's listed with 10 available and they told me it was out. I went online and made that store my home store and it also said out of stock. Would you recommend I keep refreshing that site?
unless you were game sharing before they wouldnt even have to sign into your account sony has posted instructions on how to game share before, so they dont care about people doing it
Target typically puts its stock live online shortly after midnight EST. Not saying they can't/won't do something differently, but that's been the case the last few times
